the interlude is awesome, your variations were actually quite cool and refreshing. they didn't sound out of place at all at 6:59 the harmony sounds incredible with the bass variation

I’m so sorry to say but I didn’t like the variations. Some parts sounded totally off key. Your a talented player but this just didn’t work IMO. It was to me so untrue to the original.

Yes he is very clear, zero confusion here. Background: lifelong NYC and greater region resident with one Canadian parent who taught me to read and write. I later learned Latin and chose Spanish as the most useful of its modern variants for me, the final details especially in written language and public speaking always take way longer. English especially is a synthetic language with constant word choices to make, German roots vs ancient French and Latin roots; things that sound wrong often aren't technically wrong either, go figure!

I think Cliff would have appreciated people adding their own colour to his compositions; he always included little flourishes both on-record and on-stage rather than following the "roadmap" exactly every time he played a particular part

I just started playing bass a few weeks ago. This (as well as Cliff himself, obviously) make me want to learn this song. But the way you did it. Use the structure layed down by Cliff to make something unique. Edit: I've played guitar for a few years so I can simplify things using a pick like Jason and my writing knowledge on guitar
