Sunaina and Nivesh, two medical aspirants from different regions of India, could not qualify NEET in their 2018 attempt. Having not qualified the medical entrance exam, they didn’t want to waste a year of their career.
Looking for options to continue their medical education, they came to know about the Pre-Medical Program of Lincoln American University (LAU) organized in India for NEET unqualified students. With the program, students can complete 1-Year of medical education and prepare for the next attempt of NEET along the way.
Sunaina and Nivesh got admission to the Pre-Medical Program of LAU in 2018 and also got NEET coaching organized along with Pre-Med. In 2019, they have qualified not only the Pre-Medical Program but also the NEET 2019!
Now, they both have got direct admission to 4-Year MCI-Approved MD Program of LAU (equivalent to MBBS) and will continue their medical education in Guyana.
Before departure to Guyana, we held a brief talk with both the students and also requested their parents to join the conversation.
In the conversation with us, both students shared their experience from the perspective of being a medical student, and their parents discussed various aspects of being a parent of medical student and their thoughts on medical education abroad, including:
✓ How they got to know about Lincoln American University?
✓ How easy or tough the MBBS admission process is?
✓ Faculty and quality of education
✓ Recreational activities on the campus
✓ Their advice and suggestions for the fellow students and parents
“LAU team is very co-operative, and they have made the process very easier. Their behavior is very good and supportive. They treat our children like a guardian and take care of them very well. You can send your children to study abroad. We are sending our daughter.” Dr. Ajay Singh, Sunaina’s Father
“I am very happy to get my son admitted to Lincoln American University. Here, there will be no extra burden on my child, and he will study in the English medium. Therefore, he will be able to better concentrate on his education. I suggest students from Uttarakhand come to Lincoln American University to become an MBBS doctor.” - Mr. Ganesh Chandra Sati, Nivesh’s Father
“Fees at LAU is very affordable.” - Dr. Manju Singh, Sunaina’s Mother
If you are not NEET qualified, you don’t need to worry. Lincoln American University is a very good university for MBBS.” - Sunaina, MBBS Student
