I believe most artist and business owners are going through the same this year (maybe it’s the economy), but hang in there since it’s only temporary. What I do once I see my sales are declining is open commission. This helps keep a balance. I also stopped relying on Etsy and focused on building an email list to my website last year which helped.

Thank you for sharing your thought. Reinvent ourself is such a challenge. I'm 37 this year, single, and rebuilding my life after a break up. For me, reading really give many new ideas. Just block 20 minutes a day, start reading anything you like then you can start reading self development, biz books etc. When you learn something new, you'll have new idea. You got this!

Having your own website and starting your own newsletter list is really important. That way you can reach all of your followers.

I feel you girl. I’m 46 this year, in my case I have a full time job as a back up but the cons are that you have less time to dedicate to your small biz and family, friends, etc. some of them complain about that they want to travel but I cannot afford it cause I need to save for all the taxes and expenses of related to the business. I live alone and my studio is so small that I barely can fit more stuff inside and I want to buy a printer, cutter, heat press, etc. I will have to be creative to restructure my space 🤔🤯 I have to build my newsletter marketing system and start my Patreon and KZitem channel but the problem is: when I do all these stuff? When I produce new products, edit images, videos and upload everything on the social media? Well I guess I’ll figure it out 🥹. So, let’s be consistent, make a good planning system to fit all the tasks needed and let’s do all our best and enjoy the process 💕

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm lucky to make a sale each month and have been giving away products for exposure on Instagram to try to get any attention to my shop. I was made redundant from my job and I'm struggling to find a new job and manage my finances when I have nothing coming in each month. I feel like giving up every day but if I close my Etsy shop I won't even have the possibility of earning money each day. The mental strain is unbearable but the thought of having nothing at all to show for it is even worse. Fingers crossed for both of us the economy starts to pick up!

I've been on the decrease as well since 2023. I used to do conventions on the regular but because they require so much travel and I have to have a guardian with me cuz Mum won't let me go on my own. I've relied solely on Etsy for income on the side since but it's been declining so bad that I went from 3-5 orders minimum a week to 6 in 1 month! The 2023 Christmas period was like any other time as opposed to 12 orders in 1 posting round previously.

I love your voice, it will be amazing if you do some draw with me videos. Or studio make over (even if it to just reorganize what you already have). I look forward to your videos and you encourage me to keep going no matter how stressful it is to grow a business. Just keep the videos coming weekly.

Everything you've said is so relatable for me 🥺 I hear the pain in your voice and I am so sorry it's such a struggle lately, but I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed drawing and for what it's worth I would totally follow a fashion/makeup/girly/lifestyle account of yours! 🥰 I'm 33 as well but I feel like I don't know what I want to do in my life either, I'm trying some things out, I feel like that's all I can do is try some things out. I hope we will be able to figure it out in the midst of all that's going on. 💖 Also I saw my order in the video and it made me so happy! I love everything in my order, thank you 💘

I just discovered your channel and I want to say how adorable your art is! I can relate to your struggle also, and I go back and forth between wondering if I should focus on illustration, or books/journals, or writing - all of which I love working on. It's really difficult to know what to focus on when you don't know if it will all work out. But if you have a passion for it, you should go for it!

Diversify Diversify Diversify! That's what i know helps to get out of that funk. I am in a year long depression, but to keep myself moving forward and motivated, i started doing the basics and teach myself to improve my skills. I have no one to guide me and little to no support so its all me, it feels like i have to claw my way out of a long dark hole to achieve my goals. So taking it step by step helps. I pray you grow, don't give up! Do some skill share classes in your field, get a sketch book and draw your heart away. It helps. Someday i will see you cross 5000 Subs!

I made a large order from you last year, and it never came :( I want to order from you but if I don't receive it, it's really not worth it... I am not saying it's your fault, I think it's just the post in my country
