PC gamer with a newly bought switch, here. What does that mean, remapping the what to the what?
@LonghornsLegend
Жыл бұрын
@@pffa9675 on a console controller stick drift already has a very high rate of happening eventually. What makes it inevitable is when you play a game where the sprint button is pressing left analog. Call of duty, Fortnite, etc, you have to press in on left analog, hold it, and press it with force in a direction. That applies a ton of pressure to the analog sticks, it when you get some sort of pro or elite controller with paddles, you can map functions to the back paddles as you see fit. So then you can put sprint for a paddle on the left side so it still feels naturally, but there is no more pressure to your analogs and it's far easier holding sprint on a paddle than it is pushing in the analogs nonstop. Not only is it a lot more comfortable playiylike that but it should improve stick drift or extend the life.

Ok yes, so it’s either the joycons have drift, OR they are loose in the railing. When they are loose: 1. They don’t stay on, making handheld mode a pain since you can actually drop your switch by accident. 2. Since they are loose, sometimes the pins don’t connect fully and the joycon goes and tries to connect again through Bluetooth. Joycons are such a good idea if made properly. This is why switch owners own lots of pairs of joycons, they’re just fragile in general.

Honestly, the only real negative about Hori Split Pads is the lack of rumble-most serious gamers are using a pro controller when not in handheld and a very small demographic of players play table-top. Otherwise, Split Pads are solid and have gotten a ton of praise. I bought both a year ago and the Hori are still going strong and feel like new. BinBok broke just after the 30 day amazon return period.

I honestly don't even bother with hand held mode anymore, I just use the pro controller in tabletop mode.

about a year ago there was a solution to the drift problem where you put a thick piece of paper behind the thumb stick and the case to provide support and it works kind of. About a month ago my kid was getting angry with the switch because of drift. I open it up and he pushed the thumb stick in so hard he bent the back plate of it, thin metal easily bent. I then had an idea of caving the metal in the other way. This had two benefits. One it stiffened the controller enough to give you better fine control with the stick but two it eliminated the drift entirely. So I did it to the other thumb stick and problem solved.

Hori split pads are a scam. No wireless, no rumble, no battery... 80€ for a whole lot less features. I'd take something like this or Nyxi's.

I have the Split Pad you showed here but I still prefer the Hori Split Pads. I prefer to play in handheld mode so it doesn't matter if they work wirelessly or not. I have the Pikachu and Eevee along with the Sonic the Hedgehog Hori Split Pads.

Bro had my switch in a drawer for years. And it still doesn't have drift to this day

First thing: that's a real dangerous place to charge that, one wrong move and its falling to its doom Second Thing: the thumb sticks are actually pretty easy to replace and the replacement sticks are about 2-3 bucks each and that will solve the drift issue. Third Thing: Those look really nice

I'm starting to feel like I'm the only person in the world that likes joycons, they're actually one of my favorite kinds of controllers. I can play video games in my pockets, I can put my hands ANYWHERE. I even have big hands. I've even have had more drift on Playstation controllers. I will admit I don't like the placement of the right stick though.

I have my joycons for a whole 1 year and didnt had any problems with drift, not even once, but my left joycon trigger and bumper started working really bad, they were working only if you push them hard enough, but my bumper somehow repaired itself and started working really nice, the trigger tho still works really bad
