Step #1 he has to be a man capable of cherishing a woman to begin with! Not all men are capable unfortunately. Weed them out ladies…save yourself a lot of headaches! Get yourself a man who has a solid relationship with God, is emotionally healthy & able to effectively communicate out the gate.

@@blackswanrelationshipacademy Exactly. Ladies please avoid the 'random man' analogy. Clearly Jesus meant what He said about casting pearls before swine. Obviously if a man is NOT a good person at core, he will stomp on your goodwill. Simply remove yourself and your pearls. You can't make anyone do anything. You are only in control of yourself. Cheers!

Please be careful with this line of thinking. I’m not saying you’re completely wrong. I’ve just seen the Christian church use this idea of men wanting respect to justify poor behavior from men and not hold them accountable for mistreatment of women. There is a popular Christian book out there that promotes abuse toward women all in the name of “respecting” her husband. Personally I think love, respect and honor should be mutual for both genders in a healthy relationship.

I agree with this entirely! You should respect your partner because that's how relationships grow. One thing that is equally important to understand too is, in the early phases of any relationship, you'll go through a honeymoon phase (6months-1year) where everything seems perfect. You respect his masculine and he cherishes you. But we must be really discerning not to gloss over subtle toxic behaviour. Love-bombing is a real thing that happens early on with toxic individuals. Just make sure you guard yourself well and not fall into the trap of respect= healthy cherishing.

Otherwise, I continue on my way. I don’t make every comment a debate. Opinions are just that, not discussions. Discussions can be heard on tv, debates, panels, etc. Listening is far better than revealing all your opinions! That is where respect is found.

I started it but realized I need to take it 10 steps further... yes the modern mindset definitely conflicts & will definitely have u second quessing,, but I get it now!! I don't lose ground by maintaining consistent respect.. it actually makes life more easier for me because I can talk less and listen more!! I've even resorted to using the NOTES app on my phone while in mid conversation with men so that I don't interrupt them and can revisit my personal opinions without feeling like I'm being silenced. the delicate balance of respect vs peasantry I'm excited to experiment more with this. A man has to go out and fight for survival everyday? A man doesn't live in a world where he is constantly told he is good looking and valuable? Sorry, but neither do women. I have to work a 7-5-job everydag and fight for my survival. I rarely get told I'm beautiful or valuable, it's more like the 1 % of women who hit the genetic lotterly who maybe lives in a world where they are made to feel that way. I get constantly rejected by men for not being percieved as good looking enough and this is not by handsme men by any means, loks matter more to men and at the same time men will not only judge a woman for her looks but also for things like what job she has, money, ambitions and so on. I agree we should respect everyone, but please stop making it sound like all women walk around in the world like princesses and that somen are somehow being made to feel pretty and valuable all the time, that is not the case for most single women at least.
