My issue was with the cradle of filth t-shirts especially back in the late 90s until about 2004 is that the people who wore their shirts, didn’t even own any of their albums. They just wore them for attention purposes. One time I asked one guy wearing their shirt what me his favorite album by them? He replies with oh I thought I was wearing a horror movie shirt. 😂

Yo J-dawg I agree with you and that other commenter about the younger bucks not buying or making excuses to buy records and merch. Always remembers a lot of tool bags around my age or a little older going to local shows around 2011/2012 or bigger shows saying they couldn't afford a record or shirt but then you see them drinking or smoking weed during the show. Of course 10 years later they're not even going to shows anymore.....My dad had awesome heavy metal records/cds and tapes (Judas Priest, Dio, ETC) so I always thought physical media was cool. Also remember before I got my license taking the bus after school and then walking through some run down neighborhood to go to Rasputin records in Concord, CA to pick up records or an occasional shirt. Fun times!!!

What I hate is the early material of bands like Sodom, kreator, and Celtic frost is considered quote, first wave black metal when the only thing black metal about em was the makeup, pentagrams and upside down crosses and shit and yeah Sodom creator and sarcophago kinda hissed alittle on the vocals but musically it was thrash,,most of those bands today are proud to wave the thrash flag,,and u want to talk about trend hopping by Tom warrior? He was just trying to keep himself and his band afloat in a completely different time in the music industry I wonder what horval thinks about darkthrones debut being a death metal record and then they got bitched out by Euronymous and became black metal..now that's trend hopping ,,,cold lake is one of a kind and they could of made a new genre of metal out of it,,and vanity nemesis is a fuckin all killer no filler except the heroes Bowie cover and have you heard the nemesis of power demo of Celtic frost? Devil and the flesh off there has one of the fuckin heaviest intro riffs ever written in metal,,I'm ranting I know but I just hate how the classic thrash bands I mentioned get called first wave black metal,,and horval can say whatever about Tom warrior it don't change the fact the man's a genius inovator that just tried to stay afloat when they got shunned from the get go for the cavemanishness of hell hammer and don't deserve none of the shit this thinning haired steroid wannabe tough guy has slandered him with,,Tom warrior one of my main inspirations for picking up a guitar along with hanneman, and early hetfield and Jack Owen,,,there's ya a rant lol but check out nemesis of power in session 93 by frost you'll be glad u did!

Ill be honest here. At a fine age of 17,I havent listened to plenty, or a lot of "starter pack" albums, bands, songs. Do i feel ashamed of it Yes Do i have any excuses? Somewhat Im not the biggest music enthusiast out there. I love it, i cant live with out it, i listen to shit from the time i wake up up to ballads i listen to when i go to sleep. Met two of my best friends and my girlfriend because of music i listen to. Im more of a, higher tear graded enjoyer. I love it, it helped me through harder years of life, still does, and will when i come across other problems. But if i dont feel like like exploring a new band, i simply dont feel like it... Maybe that is a sum of why there are "young bucks" like me that maybe never heard of lets say deicide. Perhaps firstly because they simply dont feel like it(again not really a great excuse i know)

Brah brah the criteria for a 🏳🌈 band isn't whether or not they sell merch at hot topic or how much money they make. The criteria is based on how 🏳🌈 a band's music/attitude/image is. For example Cradle is 10 🏳🌈 out of 10 🏳🌈 on all counts, Misfits get 5 🏳🌈 out of 10🏳🌈 and motorhead/sabbath are zero 🏳🌈 out of 10 🏳🌈. You might say "well brah brah, darkthrone has shrieking vocals, corpse paint, blast beats just like cradle so why aren't they 🏳🌈?" and I can't explain that one. It's pure intuition brah brah, cradle pops up on the 🏳🌈dar and darkthrone doesn't, almost like common sense, simple as that.
