This is a nice car; why not just talk about what's nice about it? Noticing a trend in the /Drive videos that's getting to be silly. Why is it necessary to perseverate on what a car is not in comparison to other cars? 500 hp and 500 lb/ft are both great; why does it need to be said that it's somehow better than 1,000 hp? The flares and body work are both tasteful and functional, but I'd never call 100+ hours of skilled, custom body work "keeping it simple." Seems we're getting into "word salad" territory and throwing out misplaced phrases like that and "naturally aspirated." Biggest nit to pick: "Pro-daily" with no windshield wipers? I don't even see the splined shafts for the arms.

Why do you refer to Naturally Aspirated engines as engines with carburetor's? LS motors are naturally aspirated, until you throw some turbo or supercharger on it. I didn't have to hack the frame apart to install the ls3 I had to weld a transmission mount to the rear cross member. Front motor mounts were purchased and bolted in place. So I could easily cut the trans mount off and replace the stock engine, One thing you guys over looked in building this car was you could use a nice headliner. But very nice build ...

Guys, guys, guys... Man. You jump on everything. When I say naturally aspirated I'm simply stating the absence of forced induction like a supercharger or turbo. Of course LS engines are naturally aspirated, as are carb'd - don't be so quick to judge. Look deeper. The entire point of this build was to simply build a car that is a jack-of-all-trades and fits the owners needs. With everyone jumping on the LS bandwagon it was nice to see a simple carb'd small block instead of newer fuel injected engine.

What are they talking about....most LS engines are naturally aspirated just like a normally carbureted engine how is that any different. Neither engine has any type of force induction....

Zach Clark The guy was probably thinking of people putting twin turbos on LS engines and got it mixed up with normal LS engines.

GMdrivingMOPARguy like what? a magnaflow muffler or glass packs? the magnaflow mufflers are literally just tubes that resemble a muffler, and glass packs can be soaked in diesel for 24 hours and they become the same thing

Finally best 69 a solid daily, no tune no PC just like in 69 it works. It's still a solid muscle car, the only people that get it is a true rodder that drove a 80's build and a 2010 build and said it's a 69 it's do it simple. IT WORKS

The noise of the carburated engine is why I left my poor 1,8 vw golf mk2 stock and didn't put the newer 1,8 turbo from the mk4 like everyone else....And i don't regret it at all....

This guy rubs me wrong. He kept saying "WE did this. WE did that." But all he did was sign the check and let someone else do all the real work. Also he sounds confidently knowledgable without actually knowing what he's saying. Like he read the build sheet and memorized part names. Not to mention him talking about the LS family like it was purely forced induction. C'mon guys.

me too. and no Mike Musto, that LS will never be as dated as a 383 stroker or a big block 123. I'll take my 1st gen LS/T56 swap over this powertrain any day of the week. parts are cheap and they are bulletproof

Carbbed LS is the route I'm going & an LS is NA just like a 383. I was going to do a 383 but the LS seems to be the better cost effective option for me....plus a little newer tech with a carb can't hurt

Who cares if you go LS. Like Mike said in 15 years it’ll be dated. Well guess what. If the person still has the car in 15 years. By that time they can throw a different motor in it if they want.

How can so many of you guys hate on the host of this show "Mike Musto"?? this guy is a legend in the world of muscle cars, so what he mixed up his words. trust me he knows the difference between carbed and efi , and def knows what a naturally aspirated engine is. give him a break
@LiveInTheNow247

hold on an EFI engine is not a forced induction engine. And to me, staying true to the camaro means not extending the fenders and quarters to make it look like a "trans am" and why would you not go with EFI if you have a deep budget to build a frame off restoration modified camaro
