The mysterious figure you met in it left you with an ominous prophecy: "Love is a curse."
At that time, the story of a three-country alliance that would shake the balance of the continent was laid on the table. Tanzanite, the country of illusions and divination; Achroite, the country of snow and law; and Ruby, the country of night cherry blossoms and turbulent times.
As you set out to discover the motives of each of these countries, a threat that could turn your love into an obstacle looms over you...!?
You begin to wonder if the true love you found with him really is a curse--As of now, a challenge confronts your proposition of love.

DESCRIPTION TIME:
I kind of ditched the 1st prologue’s official translation at the beginning.
I had very stupid internal conflicts, too, like:
Do we say “Achroite, the country of snow and LAW” or “Achroite, the country of snow and LAWS”???
‘Tis the level of my patience.
PROBLEM TIME:
…Anyway, I have no idea if Azel is indeed a ‘diviner’. The translation of his job could as well be ‘fortune-teller’ or ‘astrologer’.
Actually, Tanzanite was supposed to be “the country of fortune-telling and glamour”, but ‘illusions’ suited a desert better, and ‘fortune-telling’ is just some sort of branch descending from ‘divination’.
Speaking of countries, there are important things to mention about the Kingdom of Ruby:
• It has actually a very Japanese-like language. You’ve maybe seen it on the map, but this country is labeled ‘Kogyoku’ (which literally means ‘ruby’).
• Its nickname, “the country of night cherry blossoms and turbulent times”, is only a very, VERY ROUGH translation of the kanjis because they’re too Japan-related. The part with ‘night cherry blossoms’ stands for the kanjis ‘yozakura’-which is a traditional Japanese event that deals with viewing cherry blossoms during nighttime. There isn’t any English variant, so I used vague words to translate that. As for the part with ‘turbulent times’, it stands for ‘ransei’, which is something more similar to a ‘chaotic period’-like, a state of disorder/trouble within the society. I chose ‘turbulent times’ because it sounded best and the majority of translating sites proposed this, but I’m really curious how Ruby will officially be nicknamed cuz there’s a lot of references to Japan culture.
• And…I’m not sure that Gilbert meant to say that the DOMESTIC faction precisely is in conflict. I think he meant instead that ALL the factions INSIDE Ruby are having a strife, not just the ‘domestic’ one…… ugghhhh.
FUN FACTS TIME:
- The Kingdom of ‘Kogyoku’, aka Kingdom of Ruby, also bears a second meaning: ‘beautiful-looking’. Considering the country’s internal situation, it’s rather ironic.
- The name ‘Azel’ literally means ‘noble’. And there’s a prince named Azel. HAAAAH nice.
I oftentimes changed the literal meaning and punctuation of a Japanese sentence so that it made more sense in the English version……. But everything gives off the same message as the original! :D I’m proud of myself lol.
OTHER THINGS:
It was very funny when Azel thanked MC when she gave him some food like a mama bird. He wears GOLD on his clothes, he’s a goddamn prince, yet he acts like he’s the world’s poorest man.
……..….He sounds depressed. I like it.
And LOL I snorted at Leon’s last line.
“I hope that little girl MC doesn’t end up in the middle of this huge mess...........”
Duuuude, the MC? THE main girl of the story? Not getting herself involved in some dumb shit? Please. We know how this is going to end.
