This is a video clip from Rollin' On the River (later called Rollin) TV series hosted by Kenny Rogers and The First Edition between 1971 - 1973. The 52 episodes were filmed in Toronto, Canada. Rollin' was among the most watched syndicated shows in Canada and the USA The First Edition became the first pop rock group to host their own prime time TV series in the USA. Remember?

@romemeka Just because Tina chose to sing classic rock n roll songs, does not mean she is doing white music. It all emanated from R&B. She just expressed the music in her own RARE & powerful style. If anything she just reclaimed the music and sang it in the spirit which blacks had originally created. Her style & music is not white, it is classic R&B done with her rock n roll spin. Thus, it crosses all genres and generations. That’s not a color thing. It’s a soul thing.

@luvtinaturnerlots Tina coverage of music is classic soul,r&b,rock,etc.Just because she expresses/picks her soul/songs in a particular fashion does not mean its white.Black people have a tendency of giving up their creations &typecasting their own people because the interpretations are not portrayed in that one-dimensional way as they see it.However, it is still soul for it all eminated from R&B.The same for Diana, its just lighter.Their talent/material is UNIVERSAL & no less black.Transcendent!

It's a shame but at the end of the day he's still in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Tina. He discredited his own legacy by doing drugs and hurt his own reputation by abusing his wife but he is not the only musician to do those things. Unfortunately domestic violence is very prevalent but not every day one of the spouses becomes a superstar with a book and movie documenting the abuse.
@a.b.s_productions

RIP Craig Turner: His body was discovered on July 3, 2018, just one day before the 5th wedding anniversary of his famous mother, Tina Turner, to a man only two years her son's senior. LET THAT SINK IN! Tina don't you dare blame Ike Turner for Craig's death because for 20 years you chose to stay in that domestic union for fortune, fame and stardom. Just please stop beating the dead Ike horse. Possible reasons Craig Turner may have committed suicide: He is the son of Tina Turner and Raymond Hill the homeboy and sax man for Ike Turner. Tina is suggesting that Craig was adversely affected by his mother's domestic alterations with Ike Turner. If that's the case why did Tina stay with Ike for 20 years? Craig's friends and family aren't sure why he would have killed himself. 2. Was Craig embarassed by the alleged 1984 altercation involving his high school sweetheart Bernadette, Tina and Randy Jackson (of the Jacksons) which resulted in a shooting? 3. Did Craig agonize over rehashing the Ike domestic abuse drama in the new Tina Turner London musical? Did he feel badly that Ike was unfairly portrayed. After all he knew his mother's faults better than anyone else. 4. Did he feel guilty about being his mother's favorite son? 5. July 3 is date Craig was discovered but July 4 is Tina's wedding anniversary. Could Craig have resented his new step dad? He's only two years older then Craig. 6. The last person to speak with Craig did so on June 27th. That is the working date of his death. That is the day Joe Jackson patriarch of the Jackson family died as well. Was this a trigger? Did it trigger a solemn thought of his mother shooting it out with Randy Jackson over Bernadette? Did it trigger an even deeper anxiety of how two famous African American music patriarchs were unjustly brought down and how their families were all but destroyed! REST IN PEACE CRAIG AND IKE. @NOT IKE'S FAULT.

@romemeka So who influenced the Beatles? Who influenced the Rolling Stones? Bands that Ike and Tina covered who wouldn't have existed if it weren't for black blues musicians. Ike Turner was a blues and r&b guitarist through and through. He certainly wasn't playing "white music". Many black artists had to appeal to white audiences in order to gain a more prosperous career. Take a look at the careers of blues musicians like Skip James and Son House and the adoption of their music by Clapton et al.
