Really interesting, great to see something no tourist would get to, probably for the best given the smells!

Very interesting! The animals look very good. Is there community cooking and feasting after the sacrifices? I'd be very interested to see more of the festival as it progresses, if possible. Thank you very much for this.

Yes, but it involves animal slaughtering which KZitem doesn't want.

@@africa_everyday Oh yeah, that part I understand. Many of us don't know where our food comes from.🙂 And when we find out some will stop eating it. I love goat and sheep. I don't think we eat much of it in the US. We eat lots of beef, pork and poultry, but I really like goat and sheep. And their milk and cheese, etc., too. It's just a suggestion if you have any time, perhaps you could show us a little bit of how Nigerians party. Or maybe since it's a serious religious festival there isn't supposed to be a noisy or high energy celebration, or fancy dressing, and maybe your family and friends don't want to be on the internet.😊 I don't know¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I do hope I'm not being too rude. Thank you very much for your videos.

Please, feel free to correct me, if I'm wrong. I only say what I observe, if you feel offended then, I'm sorry. Though, I'd like you to tell me if I'm wrong or right .

@@africa_everyday We'll think you are racist against the Hausa people. I think I understand, they work with animals more than other people. Working with livestock is a dirty activity, so we all wish not to do it for our health. When I worked in a chicken factory, I was a very dirty person because I could never stay clean for any time and gave up. People needed someone to do this job, but because of what this job did to me, I was unpleasant to them. It was not a happy time.

@@Salabasama bros, Hausa is not a race, so try to know the meaning of a word before using it, especially an accusing word. It can be catastrophic in some cases. I speak not only from observing ram sellers , but from other Hausa people living in the wester part of Nigeria. Ask other people opinion on this, you'll hear their response. If you feel offended, well, I'm sorry, but what I said is unfortunately 100% true. Be safe n happy

@@africa_everyday I appreciate the work that you do. Please don't misunderstand me as an accuser. The way I am using the word is not completely literal, so I may mean a class or something instead of a race. If we talk about this any further, I think it should be through email or something so other people do not "pile on."

Firstly, I know you are not a Muslim so you explanation on udhiya (ileya) is barely correct enough as they were lots of wrong in it. The issue of Udhiya (ileya) in Islam is beyond 'common sense ideas or traditional insights. It is crucial to get this info from the proper concepts as it is a religious affair which can make or mar one's reward is seeking God's favours. Firstly, BOTH MALE and FEMALE animals are accepted for the udhiya sacrifice (though males are more rewarding (sunnatic) and people prefer them for certain reasons like pregnancy possibility, meat tenderness and proliferation of stocks). Secondly, goats (mesoro) can be used and are valid for the sacrifice but on condition that it must be at least 1 year old or better still more than 1 year.
