Feel so blessed to come accross ur cultural n traditionals practices.. I dnt undrstnd a word of ur song bt at d same time feel so connected with ur cultural n traditional way of life. Im frm nagaland north east part of india. We ve so much similarity in us specially d traditionl dress, looks n physical structures n d lovely terrace rice fields. We were nver a part of indian union, we wre being forced to join india. Since d 1940's we r fighting d indian govt. to liberate us into free nagaland. Since d time i came accross ur cultural videos ive been explorin to see more historical datas connectin us in any way. Suprisingly , we also practised head hunting n d head of d enemy was taken as war trophy. Besides we share so many similariry like d terrace rice cultivatn, structres of d bamboo houses. amazingly, down to d bamboo woven patternsb. Use of machete n d loins worn by d males. Perhaps somday our roots of migrtn ll prove d land of my ancestors was a free nation. Greeting frm nagaland n god bless!

FYI: There is no physical Igorot tribe that can be found in the Philippines. The term Igorot originated from the Spanish word golot meaning mountain range and adding the prefix I or Y Igolot or Ygolot means dueler of the mountain range. The Cordillera Region is a mountainous area in the Philippines where Igorots reside. Wherever the word Igorot originated from, it is used to collectively call the inhabitants of The Cordillera Region and some of its neighboring regions such as Nueva Viscaya, The Ilocos Region, La Union, and etc. To be an Igorot, one must trace his/her ancestry to the Cordillera Region and belong to one of the tribes and sub-tribes present in the region. Examples are the Ibaloi tribe, Kankanaey Tribe, Karao Tribe, Kalanguya Tribe, Ifugao Tribe, Tingian Tribe, Mantuali Tribe, Aplay Tribe, Tulgao Tribe, Bontoc tribe and etc.
