A common painful area for dogs is on the iliopubic eminence. The psoas MINOR inserts here and the pectineus muscle originates from the eminence. Can be referred to as enthesopathy or an enthesitis causing lameness in a dog.
Pain here can cause lameness, gait changes and reduced performance. On x-rays, one may note radiographic changes of the eminence from enthesitis of the entheses. Entheses being the insertion of the psoas minor and origin of the pectineus muscle.
This area requires treatment and or rehabilitation.
