Sinanglaw is a very famous dish in the Northern part of the Philippines. The main ingredients of this dish is beef organs. It has this sour taste usually from vinegar and the fresh aroma of green chillis. For some who is new to this kind of dish might think it is gross, but for us Ilocanos this is a delicacy. It is good for breakfast, because the sour soup of it makes you awake and gives you energy to start your day, it can also be a good match for beer as a pulutan or simply a viand at lunch. This is different from pinapaitan, pinapaitan has a bitter taste and sinanglaw has a sour taste with lots of soup. If you are not an Ilocano, I challenge you to try this Sinanglaw and have a little adventure on this tasty ilocano dish.
