This is a perfect light for the filmindustry. It is rather expensive (and too noisy) for us simple citizens but compared to the usual film equipment it is not expensive at all. And you don’t need all those extra gear, power supply and all that. A filmcrew buys 3-5 of these lights, some tripods and you are good to go. For many shots this is the best alternative there is. So many more powerbursters like this one will follow.

The MS18 is an absolutely stunning light. I was so stoked I got it on a special sale from Banggood for $400 USD. Definitely a specialized purpose light; using this as an EDC will make your life horrible. The only thing is I wish the handle had a more knurled gripping surface. Because of the mass of this thing, I highly doubt this unit will survive a 1.5M drop, even if the manufacturers claim it was drop tested at 1.5M. I kind of wish there was a waterproof version of this, but because of the cooling required I don’t think it’s possible. She runs very hot. When ran hard, the temperature of the head still reached 185 deg. Celsius. Definitely not a toy; much care is required to operate this. With much power comes much responsibility; this device needs a high level of respect when operating it.

@@russellhuston6481 Turbo will not run once the lights voltage is below 15v. All other levels will still operate though.

thinking of getting the ms18 or Acebeam X70. Acebeam has a authorized distributor in malaysia but I am not sure about Imalent. the Ms18 has a pretty noisy fan. Hows the built quality of the ms18? For me, Better to get a brand with local warranty, easier for technical support and parts later on.
