In continuation of the previous video about a warrior known as Pentochepchep, this song is about those two ladies who were brutally murdered named as “Jaksüngnaro” and “Ajaromang” belonging to Longkhüm village. The hornbill bird as mentioned even in the earlier video, play a very important role in regard with the black strips it has on the tip of its tail.
The Nokranger’s chief had a beautiful daughter and because of the reason that he loves and doesn’t want her to knot ties with the Ahom king, he played a trick concerning the tail of the bird asking the king to find a hornbill bird which consists of two black strips instead of the usual one strip it has on the tip of its tail. The Ahom king after finding the bird, drew another black strip on the bird’s tail and summoned his messenger to the Nokranger’s chief. With no other options being left for the chief, he accepted the proposal of the king.
Unfortunately, the hornbill bird belonging to Nokranger’s chief in search of food, flew to Longkhüm forest and it was then, one of the villagers from Longkhüm set a trap and caught the bird and took it to his village. The villagers then, saw the strips on the tip of its tail it had and was amazed never had the slightest idea that the bird belonged to the Nokranger’s (Nokrang’s people) and named the bird as the “Angel’s bird” send from Heaven for the sole reason of the non-existence of a Hornbill bird having two strips on its tail. They picked/plucked the tail of the bird and it was when the two ladies from Longkhüm, comes to the scene as the villagers chose them because of their extraordinary beauties they endured during that time and asked to take the tail of the bird and begin their journey visiting the Ao-villages situated far and near, showcasing the tail and their beauties to the others as well.
At this moment, the two ladies happen to visit the Nokranger village by the evening, the last village they decided to try their luck on selling it. The Nokranger’s chief saw the two ladies with the tail of the bird and he was felt with rage thinking that they killed the bird which belonged to him at one point of time and even without asking how they ended up finding the tail, he gave an order to kill them setting a time to carry out his vengeance the next morning. Jaksüngnaro and Ajaromang had the most dreadful, inhumane and heinous night of their lives and was brutally murdered.
