Ed, I absolutely love the story about Miss Smith and pulling you out of the classroom because you were the smart kid. That story literally gives me chills and reminds me of my childhood, I was never the smart kid, talented kid, or the kid with any abilities at all. I was never the chosen one for anything. I absolutely love the story, thank you for sharing.

I was raised with a Mother who constantly told me that I'd never amount to anything. Unfortunately I've lived up to that. I'll be 60 in 2 months and I'm still fighting that, and yes, I'm a screw up, I never did amount to anything. Sad thing is that I gave her that power over me, my Mom is gone now but it still affects my life

There’s a great book called “Worthy” by Nancy Levin that is an amazing tool for pulling apart all these old stories. Using these tools, Ed’s new book, hypnosis and NLP I’m determined to get control of myself and my life! I don’t want to be in the same place in another 10 years and look back and know I had plenty more life left to change and embrace!

Ok, so you've been living HER lie for that amount of time, you are worth more than her opinion of you, how about you dig deep for the next 12 months and come back to these comments in a year's time and tell us how things have changed... ...I believe you can do it...!!! 🤟🏼🤫👊🏼

Why do you keep allowing that belief to dictate who you are? Does playing a victim make you feel good? And have you really amounted to nothing or are you just being blind and allowing that belief to not let you see what you’ve accomplished? Cause if you’ve been sitting on a couch and nothing else for the past 40 years I would say you’re probably right but if you have worked hard and have opportunities I’d say you’re wrong and you’re just allowing yourself to be a victim

Thanks Again! What strikes me the most while listening to your podcasts and I think the reason you connect with so many so easily is your humility. Thank you for always providing content that allows me to take away at least one(majority of the time multiple)tool that can be used for me and family as I become the one. 👊

You were so fortunate to have a teacher like that. I was very shy as well and my grade one teacher, who funny enough was also Mrs Smith, made me stand in front of the classroom and tried to force me to talk. I wouldn't, so she slapped me across the face in front of the whole class. So devastating to me😢

Hi Mr Mylett, thank you for sharing your heart in this program. I wore two labels both were detrimental. The children I went to school with called me Monique the geek! I was a breach baby, and my mom used to tell me all the time, saying also to ANYONE who would listen, that I was born back assward and I would always be back assward. It wasn't until I turned 30 that I saw myself as better than that! Still, those words try to get me down especially when I am not getting the results I work towards.

Wow that was powerful. That was me all through my school years. I was made to feel i wasn't good enough and this was back before the internet and cell phones. There were many times i just didn't want to continue living. Its something that seems to dictate your life even as you get older. I will be 45 this year and i still struggle with these problems. I didn't have anyone to talk to about anything growing up so now i have to deal with things so i can be a better man and be the person i know i am. Thanks Ed, i needed to hear this!

Ed , by listening to your pod casts it has given me inspiration. Just hearing your stories i now know that i am not the only person with things to work through and that there are so many others as well. I dealt with similar things as you going up and at school and you have given me a different way of thinking about things. I was a shy kid and quite but have gotten better as i got older. You have inspired me to be a better man and to help others when problems arise. You my friend are one of the great people that stand out and when people hear you , they want to listen . They want to be better. I want to Thank You Ed for what you do! Just Amazing!!

First, what an amazing Father to pray with you before each game. I've heard you speak about him on Pods before, but this is something we can all learn from him. So powerful for a father to pray to our father with our children. God bless Mrs. Smith your teacher. There's times in our life where suffering can either be Purposeless or Purposeful. You are obviously someone who used it for a Powerful Purpose, but it's the Mrs. Smith's in the world that help us make that right decision. One thing is for sure, we can all be a Mrs. Smith each day in life to someone in need and make that difference. Great clip. God Bless~

This is so true and relevant. 💯👌Part of building an indomitable identity entails forming a positive, healthy self-image of the person you want to be (aka your Alter ego 😀) . And then cementing that with positive self-talk until that image becomes a reality . Thanks for sharing Ed and Jamie. You guys are very inspiring role models for faith-based entrepreneurs ❤️❤️

😇GOD BLESS AND PROTECT YOU EDDIE MYLETT!!🥰🤩 😇 Thank you for being so open and for sharing your story. It all resonates so much with me. I want to point out especially the P-O-W-E-R that TEACHERS have in young children's lives!!!! I feel like this has been lost in the past few decades. I grew up with teachers that encouraged, that hugged, that supported students. What is happening today is DRASTICALLY different and so depressing!! Especially during and after the pandemic. That's not to discredit the amazing teachers that are still out there - God bless you all -- but for those that teach and that have completely forgotten the power they have over our future generations: Let this video and Eddie be a reminder to you all -- you have the power to leave an indelible print in young childrens' lives that can lead them to be CHANGEMAKERS just like this amazing angel you see in this video. We all need to do our part to be KIND, SUPPORTIVE, LOVING, and do our best to spread PEACE on EARTH.

I'm 52 and still working through being told that I would never amount to anything... even as an adult with family, children, and long-term employment.. dad still took every opportunity to remind everyone that I wouldn't ever amount to anything!! I am reminded of the hope that my mother would say, you are my sophisticated son and don't pay him any attention!! Here in a place in my life where I feel like I'm here for a bigger purpose, but feel so lost on how to get there... Ed I appreciate all your content, but l need help and open to any guidance and suggestions.

Only fools rush in… who doesn't love a story about underdog's, community and interconnectivity. “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest accomplishment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Leo Buscaglia Nothing happens by chance… God is always moving about seeking those whom He can use in our everyday life experiences, as His special combination to unlock His Purposes. Living out those times we can’t comprehend ourselves what God is up to, and we mustn’t let others tell us it’s an illusion. We need not explain ourselves, as most only understand from their level of perception. “… All our knowlege brings us near to our ignorance, All our ignorance brings us nearer to death, But nearness to death, no nearer to God. Where the the Life we have lost in living? Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge? Where is the knowledge we have lost in information? The cycles of Heaven in twenty centuries bring us farther from God and nearer to the Dust.” - T. S. Eliot, the Rock (1934) Lord, as we seek the matters of above, help us to walk out your Word in our everyday lives so drastically differently that it stirs minds and hearts of others with whom we are interconnected. May our appointment’s each day (your Purposes) with people lead them to have a desire to seek you, instead of the futile matters of the world. 🙏
