Note that in Excel 2016, Power Query is called "Get & Transorm" under the Data tab.

You're welcome man! Yea, power query isn't too difficult so i wasn't sure if I should try to put more of these up or just include those in the premium course and continue with videos on other ways to import data, as I mentioned in my initial outline of this series.

@@TeachExcel For me personaly right now, power query is hot topic. What I realize, that only way to learn is thorough some challange. I mean build some project who gives a benefit in outcome. To learn the partial tricks is useles and is not really motivate. So real power of power query can be discovered only in complex solutions. When I discover for me power query it made to me really "WOW" effect from benefits. So I do not how about other subscribers, I like Your videos and I will folow. Thanks for input, thanks for knowledge.

I'm kind of struggling to find a project to do that with concerning data import that is larger than a single video at the moment but I do like the idea of doing another larger series. However, I do not think it would be as long as the last one that was 8 videos to build a working form, because I think people got a bit fatigued after 8 weeks of that. I'm certainly open to ideas on making a more useful longer series again though but, for this week, and maybe next week, I am not certain I will be able to get around to that. I'm not sure if this week's video will be the best for you, but we shall see how well it is received in general. Anyway, I do really appreciate the input! Thanks! Don

At 18:13 you went to "sample data" and talked about downloading something. You lost me on both counts. Where do I get the sample data and what and where do I download something that is better than Note? Thanks.

Hi Todd, click the link in the description for Excel File - it's the second link for this video - and that will get you the country info text file. I got the original file from geonames www.geonames.org/ You can get Notepad++ here: notepad-plus-plus.org/ You don't need notepad++ for the tutorial, I just wanted to mention it in case anyone wondered what the program was that opened the text file; also, it's much better than regular notepad.
