💙Welcome to my Brand New Series - FinDocs. In the early days of my career I was completely focused on improving my skills & making money. I thought that the harder I worked, the more I would earn. Later I realized that smart people not only focus on making money but also on Multiplying it. As in Exams - The same principle of don't Work hard, but work smart applies to money. As I learnt new things in managing my money, I realized there was a huge gap in information, particularly among Doctors. This is my humble attempt to increase Financial Awareness among Doctors. In this Episode we will try to understand the 50 30 20 - Rule 💙Be sure to tell me in the comments if you like this series or not.

Sir thank you for this amazing info.. But you may be surprised To know cause I knew these things even before watching this video... Cause when I was around 16 my dad used to give me lessons to save atleast 20% of what I've got and he told to use only half of what I've got & what is left, use it for enjoyment...& now today I understood the importance after watching your video that why he wanted me to learn these things..! ❤

Finally someone teaching this . My mom actually taught this when I was in school. It was hard initially , but once you start seeing the savings and the big purchases(property or investment) you make , something clicks and you try to save more. Even when I was earing only 11k from internship , I started saving 3-4 k every month , which really helped during pg prep and when I had no source of income and had to rely 100 % on my parents .

With all due to respect & no offense to anyone : It's 2021 and people are still recommending shit books like "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" Literally the author has no recorded history of personal wealth prior to publishing the book and filed for bankruptcy.He earned big via income from book publishers , made it big due to fluke during Subprime Lending crisis/GFC in 2008. Then he lost it all due to his over pessimistic view of stock markets and unrealistic disastrous asset allocation mindset . My humble suggestion would be Only read books by authors who created sustainable wealth for themselves from scratch in an ethical manner as our time is valuable . Moreover , >80% of the content in that book is in American context , almost impossible to apply that in India .

Liked the new aspects you're trying to explore for us sir. But, don't you think satisfaction (either in doing something for free or spending on something you like) is more valuable than Money? I mean that's what makes us Doctors / Teachers stand out from a Businessman, isn't it? We're not going to take our Money to the Crematory afterall. Will be very happy if you address these issues in any of your future shows sir. 😇
@Boneteacher

I dont think its a crime to want everything in life. Why cant we serve society and also want to make money at the same time I am a doctor and i want to be rich. Idk why a doctor being rich is so much stigmatised in the society.
@dr.h.k.m
3 жыл бұрын
I'm not talking about contributing to society and all that. Making money has nothing to do with that. I'm talking about a different issue. What's the point of being rich or saving money when we can't enjoy it? Money or any property or any deed for that matter, is only worthy when it satisfies our soul, I think. A person may have saved a crore, but what if when he gets Covid or MI or Stroke or Cancer... All his savings will be wasted in dealing with that. Saving for future by compromising the "present happiness", how does it make sense sir? For example, a person want an Audi r8 and have the money to buy it. But, he doesn't buy it, in the hope that by not buying it he can save or invest the money for the future to make more money and buy a future Tesla Model. Now, the question is what if something happens to him and he looses his ability to even drive? Hope I'm able to convey by thoughts. I have no problem in making money at all. 🙂

@@shambhavisinha4523 Being Rich itself is a stigma in India. It has nothing to do with being a doctor. When some Adani gets rich, lot of people starts hating him. But as we progress financially in life we can actually reverse this rule coz our needs never change, may be there will be some price fluctuation due to inflation. As our increment increases we can put lot in to our wants , savings and investments. Anyway great video which is needed for our people coz no one is teaching financial literacy.

Sir please make more financial and economic hygiene videos. No one teaches us doctors about these things and the sad part is that we DONT HAVE TIME to learn these things too.
