Did you post a video on how you found and fixed all the squeaks inside?

It was a process. There’s multiple video that eliminate some aspect of what causes the noises. To get started, tighten every screw you see, mainly hinges and handles. Remove window coverings or secure them in some way. I took off burner grates and place them in drawer. You can also check under the stove top and probably find a screw or two rolling around in there. These will eliminate a lot of sounds.

How did you anchor the shelving to the side plastic pieces? I’ve got a Sprinter Sanctuary and the back bench is a little different. I’ll have to cut the side pieces down a bit and level them off. Great job on the project and all your others.

I kept it easy and just drilled holes in the top of the plastic. Then I just used some zip ties.

Interesting project for sure looking forward to the led upgrade update video

Yeah, it was easy and needed. I think the plastic caused a heat problem too so hopefully the openness of the wire helps. I’m hoping for some fog for LED lights but we will see.

I have the sprinter version of the 19P (Synergy), and used your idea to make the shelf. I couldn't do the rear indent because my battery is mounted further aft (i don't know why) so I just reinstalled the rear piece. This provides actual storage while still giving airflow around the components.I used aluminum angle on the sides to support the wire shelving thus negating the wavy top of the sides and also giving me a way to mount the wire shelving using zip ties. Didn't have to notch the wire shelving around the steel uprights since my width is the same as the original piece. Thanks for the excellent idea and how-to video.

Great idea. Thanks. I’m glad somebody else thought this engineering design is a totally non functional disgrace and was of space. Mine looks like a rats nest of wire.

Thanks. If they had thought it out they probably could have placed battery front to back and left enough space for a second battery to be added optionally. I would have opted for 10kW vs 5kW.

Great idea, much better than what Thor put in there. I have been brainstorming with the idea of mounting a slide out drawer on top. Similar to what you did, but something that can slide out on tracks. Haven't been able to figure out the exact configuration and parts yet. What I did do is picked up some square plastic pegboard like things at Home Depot and hang/mount them on the black metal frame rail. I put 3 up and it covers the back and looks and acts as a Molle panel that I am able to hang my hoses, hatchet, and strap some other things to. Comes in super handy when I need to fill up water, I just open the door and grab the hose.

A slide out drawer or tray would make a lot of sense. Easier to access when bed is down flat. Molle style panel is good idea. I just ordered some Velcro straps and heavy duty plastic carabiners to hang hose and power cords off black rail.

Hello...You cleaned up. That`s great. I thought about it, but one more thing I want to pursue is to raise the back chair by 5 to 8cm to create a space in the back . What do you think? of course, we should also put the chair in front of us.... As you know, there is no space behind me, so I want to secure a little more space..

Yeah, maybe some spacers and longer hardware to change the mounting height of rear seat. If you use your seatbelts in the back they might need extensions. My buckles barely reach all the way through. If you raised the side seats to match you could create additional storage. I might explore cutting down the sheet of ABS plastic from the top and using it to make a storage in side seat by the sink.

Great job. Been brain storming this item too. Was going to use wood but now stealing your wiring shelving route 😊 This summer I’ll be removing the couch and replacing with a raised platform. Only raising a few inches in order to build a sliding shelf for storage.

That’s not a bad idea. It would add some decent storage spaces on the sides too. I think right now if you wanted to reorganize the layout under the seat it could nearly fit two batteries side by side.

I thought about the same thing, I store my cables, shades, and ladder on top of that storage area. I'm thinking of moving the water spigot, I don't plan on using that.

@blkted2945 I’ve debated cutting that out as well. Also the white pvc pipe for grey water hose. Huge waste of space for my situation.

@jtbrv23 yep, forgot about that, it is just in the way and I don't do campgrounds. Another ideal I plan on doing is sewing velcro on the black canvas rear liner and attaching rear pockets.

@blkted2945 that’s a real good idea. I don’t use that curtain but I should because the bugs on Lake Superior are terrible.
