@@jaymyersvoiceover My first pro tip. It is impossible to silence wire closet racks. Much to my wife’s chagrin, they’re coming out today.

Hey jay could you make a video on multiband compression

Sure! I'll put it on the list. I will say though, it tends not to be used very much in voiceover to my knowledge.

Hi jay! I've a quick question, should we use analog plugins in voice acting to add colour? I've some that came with the scarlet interface (focusrite red suit, bx_console focusrite sc, bx_masterdesk) but idk if I should include them in my VO chain (that has just free transparent plugins to keep the audio natural like nova, Kotelnikov and reaper's gate and limiter). Thanks!

Good question! It’s really up to you, though I wouldn’t recommend using them excessively-particularly if you’re sending the audio to a client.

@@jaymyersvoiceover sometimes the client request me to do the sound engineering, so idk how can I introduce those paid plugins to my chain.

@@amine_dubs If the client wants you to do the post-production then it's up to your discretion! If you like the way the "analog" plugins sound, go for it! (I use a tube compressor in my chain to give a bit of saturation.) I'll put it on my list of video ideas for the future though. ;)
