Hey guys, welcome back! :)
Today I share with you my experience replacing thermal paste on my 5 year old Sapphire R9 380 and the temperature improvement I got out of this.
Everything started when I began playing a newly bought game, Ark Survival Evolved. Now this game is quite a few years old but just recently I got it for a very good price and was playing on my solo world. However I noticed my GPU being a bit louder than what I was accustomed to but after checking temperatures everything seemed normal. So there might have been some degradation of the paste which caused the fans to spin faster in order to keep the GPU temperatures under control.
At least that was my best guess on why it is louder than I was used to.
Now after replacing the thermal paste I got a big surprise and I never expected this.
What you may ask? Well you have to watch the video to know ;) or just jump to the end where I talk about the results... please don't.
