1. Introduction
This SOP provides a step-by-step guide to perform a stationary line to line resistance Auto-Tune in IMPULSE®️ Series 5 drives. This option is available in the Auto-Tune section of a Series 5 drive programmed for vector control mode.
2. Procedure
2.1 An explanation of the Auto-Tune option Stationary Line to Line Resistance
The stationary line to line resistance option in the Auto-Tune directory is used in applications where a previously successful standard-or-stationary Auto-Tune has been performed.
The purpose of the stationary line to line resistance Auto-Tune is to measure a change in resistance when the festoon cable has been changed.
NOTE: The motor will not rotate with a stationary line to line Auto-Tune.
2.2 Access the Auto-Tune Section
First, hit the menu key and scroll down to Auto-Tune directory and open it up.
2.3 Select Stationary Line to Line resistance Auto-Tune (T01-01=2)
2.4 Complete remaining T01 parameters.
2.5 Start the Auto-Tune
Press the green run key. The series 5 drive will energize and rotate the motor.
On the Series 5 drive display, there’s a bar graph that indicates how far along the Auto-Tune is proceeding.
The drive shows the frequency output and the current output.
2.6 Complete the Auto-Tune
Upon completion of a successful Stationary Line to Line resistance Auto-Tune, the series 5 drive will show “End Tune Successful” on the display.
3. Conclusion
This SOP provides a basic guide on how to perform a stationary line to line resistance Auto-Tune in IMPULSE®️ Series 5 drives. Always ensure to follow the steps in order to prevent any mishaps or further complications.
