Gordo best driver imo. He should be going for his 8th championship too. 96, 04, 07 should have been his to go along with 95, 97, 98, 01.

harvickfan29 no, he's saying that if Nascar would quit fucking with the points system every year then Jeff would have won 7. He finished first in total points in 04, 07, and 2014 (this year) too. But no, Nascar can't keep anything the same. If it was the old format Jimmie Johnson would only have 3 championships, while Jeff would have got his 7th this year.

Casey Hutchens and in 96 he won 10 races and lost to a guy that won 2 races by less than 10 points. smh That is why I said 8 championships.

***** Idk Gordo in 96 won 10 Races that season vs Terry's 2 and they changed the points to award more for wins after that season due to what happened.

+TAMPABLACK With or Without a point adustment, Jeff did not win the title in 1996. Trust me, I am from a timeline different to yours. That thing you call "The Chase for the Cup", that was never created over here. He won the title in 2004 and in 2007 over Jimmie Johnson. And you are right, he actually ended up winning the 2014 season overall ahead of Joey Logano. So, over here, Jeff Gordon is a seven time champion. P.S.: Jimmie Johnson is a three-time champion, rather than that absurd six you guys got. Carl Edwards won two titles in 2008 and 2011. I've heard Harvick won the title in 2014 in your timeline. But over here, he won the title in 2010. Harvick was 5th in 2014. The 2015 season just ended, and Harvick claimed a 2nd trophy. But Ironically, he came 2nd 12 times. A new record.
