That is just completely normal movement... How is that considered cheating? It's not even PS2 glitchy movement. I can guarantee you 110% that Transgressor does not now, has never in the past, and will not in the future, Cheat. I agree, Drew joining up with outfits was not a good move. Even though it was completely innocent, it still sets a bad precedent, as if the devs are giving a certain group preferential treatment. I want to reiterate though that no preferential treatment was given. He was simply enjoying playing with members of the community. How many times has the community demanded the devs play the game more, and here is a dev actually going out and doing it. Yet, he gets backlash for it. I don't know how to stop this conspiracy theory that Dev Drew gave Recursion cheats. What information can I offer you that would change your mind?

@@CMDRCyrious That's not normal movement in any manner, its looks like some sort of connection issue. It also happens to coincide with this video where Transgressor runs in front of several people firing a loud pump shotgun but it looks like they don't even acknowledged his existence. kzitem.info/news/bejne/lod7sZ-pe5N2oGU We've both played this game extensively and know that even with a suppressed weapon players will instantly fill you with bullet holes the moment you render. Anyone can exploit the game by simply unplugging their internet to kill people while disconnected and the game will register them when they reconnect. I wouldn't be surprised if a dedicated player made a proper lagswitch where he only receives data so enemy players don't appear to fly off into space when they're using them.

People seem to forget that, to new and casual players, there’s a very fine line between a skilled player and that annoying tryhard guy. It’s really easy and even calming in a way to accuse someone of cheating and hacking when they frustrate you enough, but imo the underlying problem is people caring so much about “winning” they choose to have a negative effect on other people’s experience to get there. A skilled player doesn’t really stand out to you for reasons other than being good at the game, sweaty tryhards come in with power/meta-gaming loadouts, flipping and spinning with jumpjets looking like they’re recording a 2010 MLG montage. And they often avoid losing battles, even if their contribution would turn it around, and instead ghostcap small bases, turning Planetside 2 into a small scale squad-based arena shooter. I play a couple of shooters with relatively low player counts, and when games (or in Planetsides case Alerts) are taken over by sweaty players chasing that “You Win” screen, I watch the other players (especially newer ones) leave and go play something else because they’re not having fun.
@emerykj1830

They could implement very soft SBMM at least for new players in the form of "enter this fight at your own risk" if there is a large squad of extremely high KD infantry players. Maybe have the little explosions indicating where combat is but a different color to indicate where some groupings of very good players might be(like if they are in a hex, calm down). That way good players could find other good teams and fresh recruits don't think PS2 is only getting triple dinked by BWAE

I think kill screens and kill cams cause a bit of frustration in new players, because a lot of the time the screen pops up and they felt like they loaded the guy up with bullets and he should be on half HP but the screen shows him on full HP and half shields because it's either delayed or he used a medkit right after the fight. I sometimes get a bit frustrated when I see the kill cam on a fight I know was close and the dude appears to be on full HP. A new player might not know why it happened and get frustrated or call hacks.

It was another huge accomplishment when I killed one (somebody from AC) in a fair 1v1 fight. And it was a huge accomplishment when my midfit was able to hold points against Recursion. Fighting against skilled players is its own skill. They will punish your sloppiness. You have to use your greater numbers and force multipliers. Sweaty heavies get those monster kills by turning a 10v1 into 10 1v1 fights. So you force a 2v1 on them and you can get them every time.

Yeah as a player with 300 hours in PS2, it IS incredibly frustrating to full auto into someone’s chest only to be quad headshotted like I’m nothing but a bug on their arm lol. I think it’s different in Planetside because most of the player base have spent 1000s of hours and therefore will be more experienced and overall better. If ur a new player coming into the game (like me) ofc it’s gonna be hard cause literally everyone is better than you. if ur playing a new game and most levels have endgame to medium level bosses in the beginning; it sucks if u just know the controls. It’s makes it that much harder to get better for me.

I love how we, as mostly lower skilled players can overcome better players with numbers. On the other hand we have our sister platoon DIGT (T for tactical), for me these guys are just build different. They are high skilled players, doing their well orchestrated point holds to achive the impossible. Now if our leaders combine these two forces, planetside in all its unique glory unfolds! Having moments like this makes it worth it, to die against this one TR heavy 8 times in the row, without landing a single bullet on him...

There is nothing more frustrating than the feeling of helplessness when you get repeatedly farmed by a skilled player in a vehicle. Non-skilled players are fine; they aren't paranoid enough to spam 3rd person and you can sneak up on them with mines/C4. I'm talking about that ridiculously skilled dude in a prowler on a mountain, managing to head-shot you with AP rounds and avoiding your rockets/shelling you before you even take aim. Exploiters is far more varied than "Getting somewhere they aren't meant to be" and a lot of veteran players know of past exploits and current exploits. I.e Knifing through shields, perma mag burners remember the auto repair exploit which made stuff almost unkillable? Colossus shields which never wore off, etc etc.. Their was an exploit to keep the ordance buff from the deployable, to say theirs a lot of exploits which have been used by players and again most of them are veteran as they require knowledge of the game.
@BOnEhEAdD

In my mind, this kinda comes down to the way PS2 deprives you of information (both about the current situation and in terms of game knowledge) and constantly foils your attempts to apply logic. When I get killed by a veteran player in a head-on 1v1, I like to think I typically just nod my head, offer my ego a consolation in form of checking how much hp I left him with and try to think about what I should do next time I encounter him. When I get killed by a player the _other_ way - from a place he (by all reasonable accounts) shouldn't be able to access (yet they are because PS2 terrain is an absolute Dada), after assuming I don't have to look that way because 4 other players are (but nobody is shooting him because he bought a pink skin and there's no viable way to identify him as the enemy in the heat of the moment) and supplemented by the gameplay loop consisting of utter chaos as well as many more minor deficiencies - that's when I burst into a fit of rage and at very least scream at the monitor for quite a while... However the main difference is: he's adapted and used to all of this and I'm not. In other words, this issue is the prime example of "blame the game, not the players"... although sending them a tell just saying "You cocksucker!" is a good one, have to try it out just to see the response :P

I will add that for me understanding how the net code of PS2 works as you have explained before would help allay the thoughts of hacking to a new player. That said, I will still hold my vain disdain for BWAE. The fact that after hundreds hours of playing I have only seen them play one way(which they do so well), forcing you to play against one way or leave, is SO boring! And seeing them continue a advantageous fight to farm kills when the battle should have ended a long time ago just leaves a salty taste in my mouth.

Honestly, I think there are a few things when it comes to a new player vs a skilled one; A New player has more to worry about, for example, what weapon is their attacker/target using, what class are they, what items are they carrying, etc., compared to say Overwatch, where if I'm playing say Soldier 76, I just have to be aware of how 76 matches up against the rest of the roster, and watch my cooldowns since they can decide some fights, so say since I'm a fairly average player in PS2, I'll be looking for tell tale signs of certain weapons/attachments, depending on the situation, for instance a situation where I'm the "skilled" player, I was fighting some Snipers I was a few months ago who were new players, but my PC has been having issues (my luck sucks I get off hiatus just to get put back on by several faulty HDMI cords), I'll be paying attention to what faction they are in this case Vanu, which Sniper their using, well their new players and not NC so I know they can't one shot me and I know they most likely don't have any attachments, or even med-kits, and I'm using the "stock" NC Sniper Rifle which can one shot them, I know where they are (inbetween two rock faces by a Sundy), and I know that from where I am I have a height advantage which doesn't matter much VS Vanu due to how user friendly their weapons are, but against new players it might be enough to throw them off, and the rest of their teammates are tunnel visioned onto the base their attacking so they won't be getting any help dealing with me, now for a solid 5-10 minutes I just put these two through the full wash cycle, they couldn't kill me to save their lives, and I was only really able to do that cause I went unchecked and I knew what I was going against weapon-wise, two stock Vanu snipers, and the turret on a Sundy that got used occasionally, they only managed to kill me since I eventually ran out of med kits, and I was forced at one point to give up ground on the flank, as one of them used the Sundy turret while the other approached, and I'm just an average player, I don't have all that much for my character especially since I don't get a lot of certs when I play as typically I get gunned down in record times, but if me someone who is average at the game is able to do that to two new players, I can easily imagine the trouble they'd go through with a more skilled player, especially having been on the receiving end of that more times then I can count. And unlike a game like say Overwatch, Paladins or CoD, you have no way to "get back" at them Overwatch you can switch characters on the fly, and a few characters have really unfair ults if you get caught by them (D.va's self destruct and Mcree's Dead Eye can instantly kill, 76 has an Aim bot, etc.), Paldins also has Ults several of which can effectively instantly kill someone more so then Overwatch does with Lian, Khan, Drogoz, Jenos, Torvald and a few others (including the yet to be released Yaggorath), have ults that can in some way or another instantly kill, and CoD has weapons like the shotguns that provide a really easy way to kill someone as you simply have to get close, and pull the trigger or snipers that only require a single headshot, neither work as well in Planetside 2 as several snipers lack the one shot kill on head shot ability with only NC getting one that can by default, and Shotguns lack a lot of the kick that other games give them, and ontop of that, it's far easier to get killed in PS2 then just about any other game out there with really only Titanfall 2 and games like World of Tanks, World of Warships and War Thunder rivaling it in how easy it is for someone to just suddenly die, like in World of tanks I've had times where I've had to shoot say a Stuart 6+ times, and other times where I only had to shoot it once, when it comes to skill in PS2, it becomes painfully obvious when someone is more skilled then you very quickly, speaking for myself, I've had a fair number of fights (including all of my Bio Lab fights), where I only really stayed out of obligation to see the fight through to it's end, unlike say Overwatch, Titanfall 2 or even games like WoT, etc., where that skill gap is less noticeable, to mostly newer players. And before I started typing this comment, I actually had a match in Overwatch where I got rinsed by a Junkrat, it pissed me of certainly, but I also had to admit they were better then me, since with a character like Junkrat, you have a Trap-Mine combo, this Junkrat didn't do it once to me or anyone else (to my knowledge), and I saw them several times during the match using their mines to effectively fly, it wasn't really fun to just essentially get my teeth kicked in, but it didn't really kill my mood like it would for PS2, but for me I just feel that the skill gap is more painful to deal with in PS2, then most other games. This is a chore to read, and a bit of an essay, but this is sort of just my raw thoughts on the topic, with little to no articulation.

To me and the crowd of planetside players I interact with, the problem is never about skill. But the Bushido playstyle worshippers. They spew hate and salt at anyone who dares using cheese (despite maining heavy assault or infil, objectively cheesy classes) and they are just really shitty people to be around. We never have a problem with them killing us, or them being really good at the game. But that they're just incredibly toxic to the game but have the skill to keep going. A bad player who's toxic you can just destroy and pay no mind. But a top tier player who's an asshole. Will just BM, V6 constantly, teabag etc. And they will send you ragetells as soon as you kill them with something they don't consider "proper planetside". Because only their way of playing is correct.

I mean unless someone is sending you hate it’s all in pretty good fun. Someone taunts you? Taunt them back after a kill.... Someone teabags you.... Someone calls you cheese or a shitter just ignore them and play the game how you enjoy. A lot of the elitefits have begun banning their more toxic players. This game has a chance again and we all need to band together to keep it alive and they are starting to realize that. I’ve recently got back into the game after a long hiatus and have been playing for about two months straight. I’ve been doing pretty well for myself and it’s very rare that I even use the taunt function unless someone is A. Taunting me B. Taunting new players C. When im attempting to egg on someone I believe to be better than me for the sake of a challenge as my goal is to continue to improve in any way I can. On top of this I have had a single nasty tell which used to be pretty common back in the day. I’ve actually had more friendly interactions with enemy players in these past 2 months than I have in my nearly 2000 hours of playtime. If someone is being genuinely nasty like sending you nasty tele than report them. Other than that you just gotta have fun with it. Imagine how good it will feel when you get that kill on the dude that been taunting you the whole fight. You’ll slamming those “V” and “6” keys like a speed demon whilst spamming crouch thinking to yourself like “siiiiit the fuuuuck down BOI!” It’s funny. Laugh at it and improve.

The directive weapons are tough, because they are meant to have a unique flair compared to the base models. And the SMGs are useable on every class, classes that might not want an SMG. That being said I could see a Suppressor being baked into the Directive variant with no penalty.

A little storie: Couple days ago my outfit had ops on Cobalt - Indar - and at some point we were trying to cap Tawrich, when I got a ragetell from a decent TR player accusing me to be hacking. He was br 48 or something and had a 3.2 k/d, while I am currently running something around 1.5 k/d (Ps2 fisu). Now, he took that as proof I was not playing according to my stats, and he began raging and threatening and it ended with him "sending captured footage of my play to RPG".. What he didnt seem to notice was my time played, overall kills and deaths and my improvement over the years. Turns out, I started playing this character back when I was fairly new and would die alot, all the way until now where I run a pretty decent k/d playing engineer. So please guys, if you even go so far to check fisu, please make sure to take a longer look. And dont complain if someone farms you running a overall lower k/d then you are! Ty

I myself don't like big outfits, however I've never accused them of cheating/hacking. On multiple occasions lately I've seen outfit run platoons ruin alerts for the sake of armory resource and XP farming. When half of the players on the server are in 3 public platoons (run by one outfit) on one continent defending only 2 bases for the sake of the armory resource output and XP farming, it can ruin an entire play session. It makes it so you're narrowed down to two choices. Either get farmed by enemy forces at any base (no matter the continent because everybody is in one set of outfit platoons on one specific continent), or sit at a way overpopped battle and watch an outfit farm XP and not push forward. I get the appeal of going beyond platoons and herding a full on army, but it leaves smaller players with less options, making a lot of play sessions feel like wasted time. Not to mention their well coordinated platoons only ever attack with high numbers of people and routers set next to capture points. There are some extremely cool and skilled people running these outfits. Hosting events, teaching new players, keeping the community going, but this one big flaw puts a huge dampner on what Planetside 2 can be. I play on Emerald btw.

All the points Cyrious makes are true. I don't think most, or any of the skill-fits are cheaters. The one thing that he probably missed, but is worth mentioning is that coming up against the skill ball probably drives off a ton of new players. I'm a longtime player with (still) below average skills, and suffer the wrath of these guys quite often. But, I stick around where as a bunch of folks I talk to over the years leave the game because playing against the skill-fits aren't fun. Can I appreciate the hours of long work and abilities they possess? Sure. And I can explain that to a new player. But I can't convince them to continue doing something that isn't fun just because they appreciate the people killing them over and over. And as server populations slide down, the skill-fits become concentrated. Not saying its right or wrong, but I think it needs to be acknowledged.

I used to be the guy you were just describing thinking the game was full of hackers only I've played this game off and on for years and I'm a plat in Siege, but one day I realized the way that PlanetSide kill cams work I only saw the one hit that landed not all the ones that missed really opens your eyes. Factions do you need to get better at countering the Zerg and I have to be specific and say skl there are extremely organized and know exactly how the point the Zerg and will send endless waves of beetle juice using Pros to really lock a point down if they want it. Which might be a cool battle that good for you to put on youtube but it's led to on Emerald the TR & NC openly avoiding the VS and fighting each other even if that means they lose the alert to the vs. the only way this could really be remedied in my eyes is skill players stepping up and leaving platoons and organizing ways to stop this in game but for now when you seeing that the legions are coming down you're just like oh God here comes another awful fight.

My only issue with the big outfits is watching them focus on a dead faction. For example I'll jump on and the big TR outfit is on with a good 100+ outfit of BR100+ players, and the same goes for the VS. The NC's big outfit isn't on right now so we just end up getting warpgated. I look at fights between the TR and VS, and they are more or less dead with 20v20 fights at best. These 2 outfits could be fighting each other but would rather take the easy rout of over-popping a fight that they can't lose. I've been trying to learn to fly recently and these outfit squads more or less chose if i can even fly in the same area before I get swarmed by squaded ESFs. To the point where I just sit in the nearest spawn room and spam AA to try deal with them a bit. I am speaking mostly as a solo player as It sits better with how I like to play, so as you can imagine my ability to counteract these fights big outfits is minimal. In my eyes being an Outfit leader/ squad leader I want to encourage fun and challenging fights, especially when you have serious skill behind you. Avoiding overpopping and dropping in on fights that look all but lost. I get pissed off as I have had more than my fair share of times of me just staring at the map of Hossin with every fight being an unfun stomp, or a back an fourth to bases in hopes of getting a decent fight. And good lord the OS strikes and sky shields, they *seam* to have gone down thankfully, the spam was almost tedius at points. I do think seeing all these prior dead outfits getting brought back to life is great, I just don't appreciate the squad lead sometimes

Then you also have the wonky hit detection due to network issues. I too often run up on someone and empty the mag into the target only to see the target spin around and headshot me. I used to get mad at those players until I realized the same thing happened to me, I was the one doing the matrix dance and headshotting my would-be ambusher, and it was not due to my awesome skillz. That is just the unfortunate side effect of current network tech (speed) in a global game. On the upside learning how to maneuver can offset that some what, and in the long run prove to be a more valuable skill than just clicking heads.

Love the ferocity in your voice, keep it up! No one likes haccusations, and the vets deserve more respect for keeping the game alive. however one thing I do want to point out is recursion tracker and fov modifying. I myself am guilty of this, and although the devs say having a custom crosshair is not cheating, it does give an advantage. Whether its hipfiring in cqc whilst flashed or having better aim due to static crosshair. The worst part is that newbies dont have default access to it. Also recoil control. Whilst it is not really a problem for me cause i come from a csgo background(although like the video says my gamesense is a bit off in this game, so i still die more than i should), i find it sooooo much easier modifying the fov to 90 or 95 and just having a blast with a laser beam orion. I guess im just trying to say that the newplayer experience is one of the worst ive seen in games so far, and that definitely should be improved if the devs (and everyone else playing the game regularly) wants the playerbase to expand

From the 666th, I do my best to discourage members from shit talking other outfits. People are too quick to dehumanize the other player, and that needs to stop. We need to be able to recognize players for players, and not simply look for excuses to blame externals for our loses in combat. I joke with people about how Klubbinz wrecked me and 2 other Devil Dogs in a blink of an eye with an underboss on Hossin in the field, I still play that scenario out in my head because I try to see how I could have overcome it, I don't sit and rant and make hackusations. Nice. Now make sure to go into your planetside setting and turn off mouse acceleration there, as well as "Use raw input". The reason you are noticing and increase in your aim is because you are now beginning to develope muscle memory. Which is extremely important for FPS games. It's what gives skilled players the ability to "Lockon" to the target so quickly, because they know the exact amount of muscle movement needed to do so unconsciously.

My best advice for players who are facing someone you know can out shoot you. You need to play dirty and you need to out wit them. Play shotguns can help because you can then out gun in cqc, lay mines, use C4 and above all spot them. In the end skilled players have a weakness use your tools to counter them. Spotting and running away to access how to attack is something skilled players do when they face other skilled players. Also watch your allies, if you know an teammate is behind you often case that teammate will be shot first if you both are flanked. In this case turn enough to pull a spot strafe and run away and pop a med kit if needed. Then turn a corner do a 180 throw a nade at the door. Run some more and when full on shield and health reassess your attack. Try to make sure you spot at range. Also very important facing skilled players. Think as if you're them, how would you attack you. Knowing how you would attack yourself if you where them is key to understanding how to defend yourself. Plan for the worst to plan for yourself to be at your best. Learning guns is always good for countering and knowing enemy positions.

When will DBG incorporate hardware bans into their banhammer? Also, the fact that as a "Game as a Service" PS 2 has websites that offer such options like what was on display with that hacker as a pay to use service? Throw in the exploits that have been around for a long time makes me wonder where the priorities are at. Seriously, top 3 things that need to be addressed which aren't tailored for making income, but will, due to displaying solidarity in continuing with a polished and optimized product. 1. Figuring out how to make certain vehicles deal with terrain/other vehicles without flipping or exploding. 2. Dealing with lag switching. It shouldn't be too difficult to implement a code change denying how lag switching is currently handled. 3. Patching out terrain exploits and bugs with exiting vehicles. Just spending a development cycle going through the code and bug lists would be hugely beneficial. There are many bizarre bugs that still happen that should have been dealt with.

What’re your thoughts on players on ps4 using keyboard and mouse to get the upper hand? Tons of notorious players on ps4 use keyboard and mouse and it really sucks to not be able to beat them when they can swing around at mock 20 and lock to your head. Very easy to control your recoil and aim on pc. I’ve tried pc planetside2. Very fun but it kinda seems pay to win when you can buy a keyboard and mouse to face off against controller players and shit on them.

An excellent video that can finally shut some of the idiots out there. I've been in an outfit once where skilled players were called hackers on a daily basis and new players were constantly fed this lie. Although many of them will still argue this, because they can't get over the fact that they are bad, I hope most of them understand the difference between hacking and skill.

I never had a problem with skilled players. Maybe it's because I was introduced to the game when there were only skilled players. I remember watching videos about how if you joined the game, you will die hundreds maybe even thousands of times. But for me, I want to see the chaos and battle. I don't care if I never improve, but to be a part of a massive battle between veterans really gives you a sense of scale... And then I scream in joy when I kill a rank 100 invisible sniper about to stab me.

There are the quite skilled players and there are the trash-talking imbeciles who are very good at the game AND use exploits and cheese everything. Those are the ones that are assholes. Most of them are toxic af and cry like little babies when you kill them. Also, some members of (in)famous outfits on my server ARE cheaters, eg. my squad was attacking an MBT from that specific outfit, we were shelling it with fracture maxes and decimators, and we were constantly hitting it, almost every shot hit, but it didn't die until it wiped us. 4 maxes, archer engies and decimator heavies. After it wiped us it just straight up exploaded, no fire, no nothing. So some of these "skilled" players ARE cheaters. This was just a little thing I wanted to get off my chest and you are completely right in your video here. Cheers, Commander o7

It truly does depend on the time of day when you'll encounter what like on Connery or SolTech. Had a fair share of zergs because my faction was just busy biofarming while we got warpgated (happens to everyone) while other times also had some intense close battles where it was down to the 1% of winning an alert. If one day doesn't seem to work then don't stress out and just take it casual, chuck nades or something from spawn if they're camping or use that time to practice your snap aiming since lots of people tend to run just in the LOS of your character. Even if you're losing a fight it doesn't mean you're losing a chance to up your reaction time. It's honestly a nice time to practice since those shields are one way and there are always willing targets if you're being overrun.

Idk, I get what you are saying but you are completely going overboard with the all or nothing, not all cheaters spin around like a helicopter while headshotting everything or flies through the sky. There are quite a few people that are highly suspicious and it would be more strange not to suspect something is not exactly legit when this same super human skill is found in others in the same outfit, almost as if their skill to break the limit on human reaction times and beyond top tier MLG accuracy can be passed on within trusted groups of people! Weird! I mean seriously, if you found yourself with a group of people you like playing FPS games with and you all happen to be capable of the being the 0.1% top of like all FPS gamers, would you just keep playing PS2 and stomp on randoms or would you take your skill and dominate the competitive FPS scene to rake in the millions? Its about the same scenario as if you go to your local gym and there is a group there that keep to themselves but almost all of them are lifting like or better than whatever champ you have representing your country as the best weight lifter. Its just amazing how stacked they are and you hear from someone working there that yeah, half of them were no where near that level just a year ago but then they joined this group and wow, look at them now. They dont lift in competitions or anything even though you know they would crush everything, perhaps even the best of the best. Probably just performance anxiety keeping them from fame and making a living out of it... I mean.. yeah, sure... no one uses steroids in this gym because then they would look like this: *picture of a completely overblown and jacked up cartoon bull lifting weights with arms the size of school busses*, yup.. they are not as obvious as that so clearly no steroids here, 100% legit. THAT SAID THOUGH, there are not a lot of cheaters in PS2 and if there are they are hiding it so well that I cant tell the difference so who cares, they are performing like average players, but saying there are none because they dont fly etc is just pure garbage.

I think i good thing to do within planetside for newer players is to find what you enjoy doing most and try to get better at that, for example im not the best FPS player nor am i the best pilot or tankie. So i started running Melee Stalker and now i easily get over 30 (Power-Knife) Kills per death. Now i enjoy the game a lot more. Oh and get called a hacker a lot lmao.

Cyrious, how do you even know how many hackers there are ? The fact that SOE/DBG doesn't ban them in the millions or thousands has nothing to do with the overall amount of hackers. Undetected hackers are exactly that. Undetected. This does not go against skilled players. But you say there aren't many hackers without really knowing it. How would you know ?
@ListenToPumpkinMusic

He doesn't. Bad players throw hackusations around every single time they die which has created this 'boy who cried wolf' phenomenon where veterans just tune out as soon as someone starts complaining. It's a dangerous phenomenon because there are legitimate cheaters in PlanetSide and when a new player is told that no one is cheating, it's just lag or they need to "git gud", they are going to assume the game is full of cheaters covering for each other. Veterans need to do a better job of explaining what is and isn't cheating, preferably with video examples.

@iller3

@@ListenToPumpkinMusic It's not just Veterans who need to do a better job though. It's RPG themselves who *leave the gates open* for this status quo by not doing anything at all about the exploitable netcode and by not introducing MORE TRANSPARENCY to the game. For starters: they should have Server-side Event Logging for the last 10 seconds that every player was alive which that player can download and re-watch as a "Demo video" the same way Source Engine always has. That alone would get rid of like 97% of lag-induced false Hackusations while allowing the 3% of actual violators to be sent directly to RPG's game masters to deal with instantly.

@@triqxster Just because someone can stream their OBS display onto twitch, doesn't mean they don't have Overlays and ESP and Chams all running on the PRIMARY display. Direct3d works in layers and you can literally strip out whatever 3rd party program UI elements you want from different layers if that program is built to separate them. And plenty of people in other games have streamed themselves using aimbots because they can smooth out the Snapping Angles or they just run a trigger bot instead. I ran a Trigger for MONTHS as a Source Admin to deal with other subtle cheaters that I wasn't allowed to ban off our private servers (b/c they were too well liked or they were money-donors behind closed doors). I NEVER got caught and only one guy ever suspected me. Anyone who just assumes there's no Cronyism or similarly corrupt excuses being made from the top-down at RPG is about as *naive* as they come. They KNOW that if one cockroach gets publicly dealt with or 'leaked', everyone who's not a Koolaid-drinker is going to assume there's 20 more they couldn't see.

My biggest problem is not hacking. I recognize an actual hacker when I see one. Skillfits dont have hackers, they kick them out. The biggest problem I have with skilled players is clientside. When I cannot hit someone because they're playing on Emerald from Australia or New Zealand, I'm: 1. going to call bullshit because lag prevents me from landing shots on them 2. leaving that fight and try to avoid them Clientside will never be fixed and I refuse to admit anyone who kills me while I cannot hit them "skilled".

Unfortunately... the only type of "hack" required to be an even moderately successful Bolter is a trigger bot because there's no real "bullet drop / projectile time" involved. And those types of cheats are nearly impossible to detect and don't take up a big enough DLL hook to set off Battle-eye flags. In some less reliable cases you can Non-Inject scan Direct3D output info to make them work and keep them working just by constantly changing memory addresses
