Gyasi another great vid bro. What are some great entry level role for career transients. I have no work experience in the tech arena but I do have coding experience JS and JAVA. Currently working to get a Net+ cert for a chance at a network engineer role I have my eye on. Would this be a good look for a future opportunity in the cybersecurity field? Let me know your thoughts making this transition has been both stressful and exciting. 😂
Other than UX designer, all that sounds miserable lol

These are great jobs thats don't require coding but most if not all of these jobs would be so much better suited for people with at least *some* technical and coding experience. In most cases, at least for me, having worked with SCRUM Masters and product/technical managers that had next to no coding experience...they simply ended up leaning too much on the programmers for basic feedback which ended up bottlenecking our entire project schedule. But, these jobs specifically would be for people no longer wanting to code and would like to take on more managerial tasks in terms of project participation.
@ticiomevio8691
2 жыл бұрын
A technical project manager with no coding experience is preposterous because how the hell is she/he supposed to be technical about it? Unless they work only shielding the team from the client, removing impediments, doing ice-break activities, one-on-one etc because then the "technical project manager" is actually a scrum master and not really a technical project manager.

For other folks who are "tech" focused but maybe not interested in coding/programming, I'd also recommend Systems Engineer, and Systems Admin positions. You can usually find junior positions that require zero coding or scripting and you still get to flex tech skillsets while making a great salary. Also great video, not something I was even thinking about.

In most cases, tech jobs are lumped together in the context of a project where each role is typically someone on your team. Most people overlook SEO experts because that's more of a standalone job rather than being a part of a IT team's project. So it doesn't qualify as being the "usual" tech job that people speak of.

@cheyennestreeter

Hi there! As someone in tech, I would always advise someone lead with what truly interests them. The money will come. Look at your current experiences and see how you can align them with the skills in some of these roles. You will realize you are more experienced than you think. As a UXD now UXE(ngineer), it is up to as to how you learn, but my biggest price of advise is to gain your own real world application for portfolio diversity. As someone who started the Google program and didn’t finish, I also mentor other women seeking a job in UX. The projects often look the same. The cert often times does not give you real world scenarios for what work in UXD is like. So this is why I always say get your freelance clients up. Your local friends, small business owners, find opportunities in your current job to solve specific UX issues. Then add the work to your portfolio. This puts you ahead of the game.
