I'm a flight attendant so by no means an expert but what I found helps is a good water based moisturiser (I use Oat So Simple) and niacinamide + Vaseline for my lips as they get gunpowder dry. Absolutely hate HA on flights because it makes me super red and dry. Love a nice face mist and absolute must is water and eating as healthy as possible. Thank you for these tips btw. I would simply use a high-water content moisturizer and re-apply as needed. Then lip balm. Sunscreen as well, if during daylight. Keep your routine simple and enjoy the flight. Be careful attempting to bring liquids more than 100ml. Also yeah flight attendants have vlogged about passengers wearing sheet masks in-flight at night. 😆 Also, be mindful of other passengers when spraying something in the air with essential oils or any scent. Do it in the lavatory if you have to.

I do 13 hour long haul four times a year. I used to do a long in air routine but really all you need is a moisture rich tinted sunscreen and no makeup on the day you fly. Apply just sunscreen before boarding and touch up half way along. Drink water and avoid the alcohol. Honestly my skin looked way better after I simplified my flight routine compared with all the faffing. Get your brows and lashes tinted etc so you look good without makeup. Face mask are actually brilliant as they keep you face bathed in more humidity from your breath. Change your mask a couple of times.

I get so dry on airplanes… I try to stay hydrated internally & externally, but I still wind up with a sore throat for a day or two after 😔 Learned the hard way last year to NOT bring your water bottle with a built-in straw, because the cabin pressure turns it into a fountain when the plane reaches altitude 😅 I just kept re-applying my favorite calming serum (by Pyunkang Yul) and using my CeraVe ointment on my lips, cuticles and inside my nostrils 😅

Thank you so much for the informative video. I have oily skin. During menopause it began to become more normal. I had been using a fairly strong hyaluronic acid on my face everyday. This of course was due to all the marketing hype that it attracts 1,000 times its weight in water. After a few months I developed pretty severe atopic dermatitis on my face and the skin around my eyes was bagging. I looked like I was 80 years old. The thought briefly crossed my mind then it could be the HA, since I had read that it could draw moisture up from your skin layers if not used with a good moisturizer. I had a video appointment with a dermatologist who prescribed me an ointment to clear up the eczema. It took a couple of months to fully recover from this. I now use an oil cleanser and a good moisturizer. This really was a nightmare for me. I hope other women see this video and read some of the comments made and stop using HA like it's the beauty miracle of the century. It isn't. And by the way, the dermatologist didn't even suggest there was a problem with the HA I had been using. So not all doctors are aware of this.

Halfway through the flight I just rinsed my face with water (usually drinkable) and put on a moisturizer.
