Decent podcast….I was in Walton myself in 2001 / 2002….on the vtu ( voluntary testing unit ) there was only a few cells each landing that had tv,s so it took me a while to get a tele but it was a good wing compared to I wing….( rough as fuck ) and K wing which was long termers ….I got put on closed visits , as my pigeon got caught in the post….( drugs sealed into greetings cards ) cus jealous scousers who I wouldn’t serve put me in…..I could relate to loads of this 👍❤️

I too was there pal 2001/2002 on the same wing (B wing). I worked in the clothing store...was a decent job👍🏻 K wing was remand and induction wing...I think long termers were on D wing? I wing was the pits as you say and G wing wasn’t far behind it!

Remember in Risley in 1970 on yp wing Ian Brady was on hospital wing and we used to watch him looking at us exercising and we used to intimidate him till he disappeared, and he was in there was Charles Bronson but he was just another like us and never kicked off and three young lads hung themselves whilst I was there and there was no glass in windows and one morning woke upto about a foot of snow on bottom of bed and starvation rations.............. what a shot hole.
