This era was the best. Everything was cool. Wasn't no bullshit nobody gave a shit about politics. It was all about us. All about the culture and life and being happy. Finding a way through hard times and feeling like the world was ours. So greatly missed.

Nah man, this was all political......that was the beauty. This is where we squashed our differences on touchy subjects, politics, sex, religion, sexuality, race relations and anything else pressing at the time. You missing the point, this is when we used humor to relate over our differences and found our similarities and celebrated our human connection to each other even though we all do life different.

This show brought everyone into the circle. I remember going to house parties and everyone was in the circle. Metalheads, Punks, DJs, Freestyles, beep boxing crew, everyone was invited. FACT Jim Carrey was a big fan of Cannibal Corpse (Death Metal) that he asked them to appear briefly in Ace Ventura.

As I watch this, I have been thinking about how I was was perhaps 7 through 10 while this show lasted. In retrospect, as a kid, I didn't really understand many of the implications of the jokes and characters. A 7 year old doesn't know who Ted Turner was. Funny thing, I found out 7 years later as a 14 year old when I would watch Pro Wrestling in the 90s and Ted Turner owned one of the two major wrestling companies in America at the time, WCW. I understand that he was a southern billionaire now that was so bored and rich he started a TV company, TBS lol. I knew who grace jones was, but I didnt know about her personality. As an adult, I get what a funny way Kim Wayans played grace in her sketches.

Hey girl, just fyi, that was Tommy Davidson singing the part of Stevie Wonder in the Casablanca skit in this episode not Damon. Just trying to help out, that’s all. Plus, he’s got it goin’ on, right?! I thought “First of All, Oh No you didn’t Tommy, I didn’t just hear you sing Stevie Wonder-(Wonderfully at that), did I?! Wooo honey, you got some pipes, Tommy! Alright?!!” He sings in a couple different episodes throughout each season and I Love it, ya know?! Anyway, look at me rambling on, my bad😄. One Love✌️🫶🙂
