EULOGY
BIRTH
The late Bishop Winstone Michael Mutave was born on 17th July 1972 at Kanaani village, Katelembo Sub-location, Katheka-kai Location, Machakos Sub-County, Machakos County. He was the first born son to the late Julius Mutava Muthengi and Rael Mutava Muthengi.
He was brother to Rev. Maurice Mutava, Victoria Ndanu, Irene Mwende, Catherine Mukulu and Naomi Wavinya. He had many Uncles, Aunts , Cousins , Nephews and Nieces.
EDUCATION
The late Bishop Winstone Michael Mutave joined Katheka-kai Primary School in 1981 up to 1988 when he did K.C.P.E. In 1989 he joined Kilome S.A Secondary School and later transferred to Central High School where he did K.C.S.E in1993.
WORK
The late Bishop Winstone worked at Daystar University from 1994 up to 1998. In 2002 up to 2007 he worked at EPZ (Mirage Company) as a Store keeper and the same time served as COTU representative till when he resigned to serve God fulltime.
MARRIAGE
The late Bishop Winstone Michael married Patricia Kalekye and were blessed with two children namely; Gabriel Mwendwa and Abigael Wavinya.
CHRISTIAN LIFE
The late Bishop Winstone Michael was baptized in A.I.C Katelembo and began to evangelize in the area whereby the area was transformed. He later transferred to Athi-River where he expanded God’s Ministry i.e Holy Flames C.E.T and many others.
He went to further his studies and got a Degree in Theology. He continued to serve his maker being a full Minister in the International Pentecostal Fellowship Churches as a Bishop in Kitengela Town till his demise.
SICKNESS/DEMISE
The late Bishop Winstone Michael lived healthy life until last year February 2023 when he felt unwell and attended different hospitals i.e Kitengela, Machakos Level 5 Hospital and later Metropolitan Hospital where he was diagnosed with brain tumour and was operated on October 2023. He continued with treatment and later was referred to Kenyatta University Referral Hospital due to re-current of the brain tumour, he was re-operated and discharged.
His health deteriorated and succumbed to illness on 9/07/2024.
