Had given enough time, and opportunity the roman could adapt to fighting style of nomads. The thing is they got atilla which was a great general, making romans lost great amount of their population unlike the xiangnu. However, impressively when mongol tried to attack europe centuries later, they were impressed by european knights

@@Crimsrn Many states that split from the Mongol empire are today known as Turkish states. The Golden Horde state is one of them. They prevented the Russians from going south and emerging on the stage of history. The Chagatai Khanate is also known as a Turkish state. There is even an old Turkish language called Chagatai. Timur state, which separated from Chagatai, is a Turkish state. He conquered Izmir from Christians and wanted to Islamize China. Timur's descendants, the Mughals, also ruled in India for centuries. It is also considered a Turkish state. In fact, Bâbürnâme is a very valuable Turkish work. The Taj Mahal was built thanks to them. As you can see, if a Mongol becomes a Muslim, he becomes Turkic. This is the only difference between us. Throughout history, Turks have fought among themselves, but today no one is hostile to each other. War is a natural thing. Just because of this you cannot say no, you are not like the Mongols, they are your enemies.

A lot of women want to date Mongolian men because they have a reputation of coming from a culture that knows how to treat women and that treat women a lot better than a lot of other cultures including Western cultures too. Mongols gave women status in their own right as human beings when the vast majority of cultures considered them chattel and some countries and cultures still do. Some cultures do not value their women at all which is absolutely shameful.

@Genghis Khan Well, in reality the Mongol Empire didn't exist anymore by the 1260s. The four khanates were de facto independent and completely seperate from each other at that point. In my view the Mongol Empire stopped existing with the death of Möngke Khan. Nonetheless, pretty much all historians agree that it was the second largest empire, and some have recently started to suggest that it was the biggest.

My favourite part of this song, which I'm sure is deliberate, is that for the first half of the song they could just be singing about a really well-respected Mongolian chieftain, irrelevant to the rest of the world. After the throat singing/instrumental in the middle, they mention that he possessed half the known world. I would imagine the first part is praising him for uniting the Mongols under him, and the second part for what he did afterwards.
