Very well worth the price of the Blu-ray. I've learned more about these 3 aircraft than I would have imagined, with the added bonus of spectacular scenery. Kudos to the crew for making it into CYSJ.

The CRJ aircraft are so quiet. You can literally have a decent conversation without raising your voice... even at takeoff.

Just getting my second one right now. Going for Blu-ray this time. :) I think the key to the AC videos' success is the combination of great crews and a move from the scenery viewing videos some of the other videos are and over to a more documentary style with involvement from the crews. Which is what we plane nuts like and love. :)

For a lot of reasons. Everything work with seniority. Schedule, days off, vacation, pay, etc. A lot of guys have been with the company for 25 years +. For them to go to mainline would be a huge pay cut. Also they would start at the bottom of seniority list, wich translate to bad schedule, poor pay (mainline pay starts in the lw 40k$) , less vacation etc. So it doesn`t make sense really to leave. It`s also a personal choice. More takeoff and landings, more handling etc. It`s a lifestyle choice.

Given that the aircraft was very new to the company it is quite possible that the guy in the left seat was still being checked in the aircraft by the guy in the right seat. It is not unusual that a check/training captain will be in the right seat while new captains are being introduced onto a new type aircraft.

I hope it keeps going, I have bought a new DVD from the Air Canada Series every pay check! Maybe you guys could do another A320 Series and have one of the flight rounds down to Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport (FLL) thats my home airport!

Several reasons....1) you can't just graduate graduate from flight school and jump into the left seat of a 777....after they are done laughing at you they will tell you to come back in 5 years / 5,000 hours...2) a lot of highly experienced pilots get tired of the international grind and take either flying or flying / admin (ie chief pilot) with a smaller domestic airline since they spend more time at or near home.

I'm buying this on my meat paycheck! I love your movies! I watch them to motivate me to keep trying my hardest to become a pilot! One day I will work for Air Canada! I think you guys should finish off AC's fleet! You still have to do the E175 and the 320! And maybe you should finish off jazz as well! You guys have the Dash 8-100/300 to do still!

Jazz is the 2nd largest airline in Canada, Pay is comparable to pretty much everything except the widebodies. Working conditions are generally pretty good, and are generally favourable compared to everyone else, so why switch?

Your more likely to start with a small airline for a few years before your with the big boys like Air Canada at least that's what pilots I know for Air Canada say and I want to be a pilot to man defiantly a dream job !

+inkblowout2 Whichever one hires you, unless you are going into the military, and even then, you should not expect to be high on the hiring list. Your probably going to be stuck in a regional pilot's job for a few long years, making less than some bus drivers, and working 16 hour days, but at least you will be in the air making hours and gaining seniority. Then maybe you will get hired, but then again I am aspiring pilot in America, I just have done a lot of reading on this stuff.

The crj is a quite aircraft, if it is new the 200 is the loudest, and the dash 8 is dangerous, as if something collides with it its GONNA get damaged lots
