Baby got me cutting the rug with this one!!! Another childhood classic. I'm grateful I grew up in a saved household so I could enjoy such amazing music.

My mom would blast this song like a drill sergeant to get us up and ready for school. Reminds me of cinnamon toast and trying to match up my socks with one eye open at 6:30am! Thank you mom for that.

Really? It’s unusual for a 90s station to be playing a 1986 song. They don’t play older tunes

I remember Tramaine got so much backlash for this album in 1986. Some said it was too secular and then a few years later Kirk Franklin (whom I also love and admire did Stomp, and nearly everyone jumped on the bandwagon like Hey!!!!! This has always been one of my favorite albums period. (The Search is Over) They need to re-release this today and it will go gold or platinum.....hands down!! Y'all heard this first from Brother J.

But Tramaine is part of the first Gen CCM Singers..even before she got involved with Walter, she used to be part of Andre Crouch's Group... in fact, Andrae was in love with her .. he just didn't tell her.

I consider 19 70s as the first gen of CCM singers. 80s would be be second gen .

This was and is my song! The way I hear the message of the Lord in my head sounds just like this, but I was discouraged from that as a young man and labeled "worldly." I can be me now and roll with it! Praise be to God for being so immeasurable and spiritual freedom!

I will never forget the date, December 1987. Tulsa Oklahoma "Genesis Ltd" brought the Lovely and Talented Tramaine Hawkins to The Performing Arts Center and she has not been forgotten, her companion Mr. Nigel Paul was Great!!! working with them was amazing and the show rocked!!!

I remember this song. It gets me going. I was a teenager in the 80's when this song came out as a single. It was a part of her album the search is over. My mother would play this song all of the time. I still love it today.
