INAUGURAL PODCAST DECEMBER 2016 EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING
This is a “Test Clip” for an editing style I’m experimenting with for our first podcast shot in December 2016 in Chicago.
Part 1 (18 minutes) of potentially 5 parts with how everything evolved over a 3 hour period.
The first 2 clips total 18 minutes and will be posted as since for Instagram TV ((also on KZitem).
My conceptual thought pattern while editing this was to shoot how actual production works in developing a first-time concept for a podcast as talent, producer, and how everything evolves over a 2-3 hour period.
All I did was take one of the best RAW clips (20 minutes) from a Canon 80D, paste it into the Final Cut Pro timeline, cut out the dead points, added simple transitions, with our names and Instagram call signs.
This was originally shot with 3 cameras, however, this created an editing nightmare with matching up audio sources.
Show the actual production process with brainstorming, “behind the scenes”, bloopers, funny clips, and clips that would make the “final cut” if we were just producing the podcast with no outtakes per se.
Mollie and I have been talking about this for a few years prior to 2016 and she just happened to be in town for a few days, contacted my friend Jon (he works in Film & TV) to help with lighting, camera work, audio and his expertise along with being a personal friend for 20 years.
