In this video, I take the standard box joint a step further by making a center-keyed, splined box joint. This is a more decorative version of the standard box joint.
This box is made from tiger maple, with splines made from padauk. The image in the thumbnail gives a preview of what the final box will look like. I don't take it quite that far this this video, but you will be able to see how I finish the box in my third and final video in this series.
