My buddies and I started targeting Corbina on the fly rod about a year ago. For those who are unaware, the Corbina has many nicknames like the "california bonefish" or more affectionately known as " the Ghost of the Coast". These elusive sand crab-eaters, show up in the summer months here in SoCal. When the swell is small and the tide is right, sight fishing for these guys can be a real treat, and also a real headache. We've put a lot of time in on the water trying out new flies, and presentations, and this year, our patience has really paid off! Enjoy, this short film from labor day weekend, as we catch our personal best's during one of the most exciting Corbina seasons we've had in years!
