Put out the word at shelters that you are looking for a mate for Sherbert. They may match you, when they normally won't take birds. 💖🌞🌵😷.

Hey Geoff. We really enjoyed this tour of the pheasant aviaries. You have some magnificent birds. Great to hear your plans for the future and good to see the sheep and the ever attentive Jock. We currently have some very windy weather here. Thanks for this vid. Best. Jacob and Johnny.

Hi Geoff, if no luck with the humaine traps, you could try buckets with swing lids. We have caught loads with food in the bottom of the buckets. Alternatively you can half fill with water so they drown. Not so humaine but so much better than poison.

The Reeves and Silvers are amazingly beautiful! I quite like the idea of geese finding the pond, they're so strong and clever.

7:30 are there any trees on your property that you could take cuttings to grow into sapplings and put (eventually) into the grey peacock phasant enclosure? 💖🌞🌵😷

That's a very good idea actually. I'm sure there's loads if I go and look! Once spring comes and buds appear I'll be able to tell what's alive etc

One way to stop getting mobbed by the sheep, is to ring a bell or blow a whistle every time you bring them in. Eventually, they'll get the idea that they come in for the bell and not because you appear. 💖🌞🌵😷

Hi Geoff, is your pheasant operation for selling fertile eggs, live birds or both. It’s not a common branch of farming, but looks very interesting. Love the videos by the way. 😊👍

I do both. The fertile egg demand is high and works well as can send nationwide. And thanks!

Is the Sparrow netting fox proof ???

No, so there's a line of electric wire that runs around the top - should've shown that!

Evening. What size aviary is ideal for a pair of pheasants.
@BrimwoodFarm
7 ай бұрын
The Reeves aviaries are 6ft x 15ft which I would say is ideal. They can be flighty/jumpy birds and much smaller will make them stressed, especially when you're inside. Obviously, bigger the better if you can!

@richardhughes1076 sounds great. The netting isn't fox proof but I'd be impressed if a fox could leap the height of a Heras.
