Amazing to watch this similar technique....for three years I've been taking copper plate etching classes with an old school intaglio artist who uses Dutch mordant, a Kimber press and ground made out of asphaultum .... from graphite drawing to ,grounding followed by line work, acid baths timed in doubled increments, aquatint, printing states, printing an edition then plate canceling after the Edition is run ...the process in this video is similarly labor intensive with impressive results

Wow, I didn't know about photo gravure. It does my head in that print is so undervalued in the art world. It requires so much technical skill and so much time and effort to produce a good print, only to then have people say "oh, it's just a print" 😞
