I have 2600 hours on these. Flew them for Brymon in the early 90's out of Bristol UK. They are beautifully balanced to fly. Flew MD11 after the Dash 8. Still have fond memories!

Wow, that must have been an experience! It really is an interesting but robust aircraft. And although I'm not a pilot yet, this might be one of my preferences if I eventually become one!

For en utsikt det var der oppe i luften, byen så ryddig og pen ut. :)

Widerøe pilots are one of the most skilled and disciplined in the world! Things deemed difficult are just another Tuesday for them, especially in the winter season! 😄

How high does turboprop aircraft like Dash 8 could fly? Can it cruise on 30k ft?
@ProPilotKo

The Dash 8-100 in this video has a maximum cruising altitude of 25000 feet. But on an average day, it's the distance that decides it. Anywhere from 14k to 20k.

@@ProPilotKo I am still trying to figure out what they did with the engine controls during this part of the flight. What I think having seen was the transition to ground idle after leaving the runway.

Whoops! I've corrected that error in the description 😅 It's 2024 not 2023!
