Great information. So a Whole Life Policy is a better option? What if I let it accumulate and withdraw my money when I retire and just deposit it in my bank account? Wouldn't it have grown more in an IUL still? What would be the best policy/tool for cash accumulation to withdraw in retirement?

Annuities and whole life are great. IUL is dangerous, in my professional opinion. I would say that how you handle your 401k should depend on the rest of your financial picture. You only talk about worst case scenarios how about doing a talk about the benefits of today’s products as your ten year old info is obsolete and not worth the screen is was written on!!!

I don't need to be updated on the new elements of IUL. I speak with Bobby Samuelson about all the updates on a regular basis and he is much more tapped in than any agent in the biz. You should subscribe to his LifeProductReview.com and learn from him. The marketing around IUL has continued to adapt. The principles of how they work have not changed.

You can’t lose money to market loss. Market loss and cost of insurance are two different things. Whole life has cost of insurance too so what happens if you don’t get that dividend?? Did you lose money??
@LIFE180

Semantics... ok, I'll say it this way.... You can't lose to market loss, but you can lose because market loss inside the policy. Does it really matter? Are you kidding me? These are the kind of BS word play games you IUL agents play. You all have a career in politics once IUL goes the way of traditional UL.

I am 27 and I was approached by WFG and I really am trying to learn more about insurance and see if this is route for me and also to sell. I am really big on financial integrity and even though I can do sells I like to be honest and have a clear understanding on the products I’m selling. I don’t want to sell a plane to a bird. I don’t know if these products are geared for younger people in my age range or what the true benefits for this product is.

If you care about your reputation or the people you are selling to, I would stay clear of IUL and loom at using whole life insurance. I have play lists on the channel that will give you the most in depth training on why for each.

@@LIFE180 i would disagree with you on this. Again, the devil is in how you sell it and the promises you make. IUL or any type of permanent lufe insurance is a back up plan; a protection pla for your money. It is a great tool if used wisely.
@LIFE180

@@simmyajai regardless, IUL is still FULL of risks that are not communicated or understood by 99.9% of IUL agents. At the end of the day, long term, the best case scenario for an IUL will be that it performs maybe 0.5% better than a whole life (and I am being very generous). The problem is, to get that "potential" you need to amplify your risk greatly.
@simmyajai

@@LIFE180 i hear you. But again, the problem comes when an agent presents IUL like what its not. It is an INSURANCE policy that has a component that is tied to the stock market. It isnt any more dangerous than anything exposed to the stock market.

F&G annuities and Life, what's your opinion on their IUL. I've been listening to your videos about IUL. Some of the things you mentioned does not apply with this company. Higher premiums as you get older for example. F&G premiums is set from the day 1.

Insurance is always qualified for based on death benefit. Regardless of if it is IUL, whole life, term, or any other type, the insurance company focuses on the death benefit and your health to qualify for it. You could have both IUL and whole life. I honestly don't know why you would.

Thanks for the explanation for IUL! I have a question about the loan of IUL and I think none of the agent will give me the honest answer but you. They always say the IUL loan is "zero-net" wash. The loan interest say is 3.5%, and the insurance company will give you 3.5% credit. Therefore, the loan interest is technically 0%. That sounds great, but there must be some hidden details they don't tell. If that is the case, then why not all people borrow the money and then put into CD or other investment to get positive arbitrage? If you already have the video on that, could you please provide the link to the video? Really appreciate!
@linnyh8242
Жыл бұрын
A wash loan does not result in positive arbitrage. Yes you can put money in CD, but people put money in WL or IUL for potential to get higher than CD rate, especially with tax advantage, while still very much able to access the money through lifetime.
@LIFE180

With IUL there are 2 loan options. OPTION 1: The indexed/participating loan. This has a variable loan cost, but allows you to have upside potential because you participate in the index. This is how most illustrations are run when income/loans are taken against the policy because it is able to be illustrated with a positive 50 basis points of arbitrage... It makes the illustrations look AMAZING, but it is not how they actually work. OPTION 2: The fixed/wash loan. This will be a fixed loan rate and will also have a fixed crediting strategy in the policy that "washes out the costs". The problem with the wash loan is that it is not eating into the net amount at risk in the insurance. Therefore, every year, the COI gets higher and higher...those charges will eat into the cash value over time (especially in retirement when most people are using these loans because the COI is getting very expensive with the Annual Renewable Term charges). That help?
@travishuang5418

@@LIFE180 Thanks for the prompt reply! Sorry, I still don't fully understand the problem of the fixed loan and I don't fully understand how the credit work as well..... Isn't the insurance company giving the credit? Or do you mean the credit won't catch up with the COI increase rate?
