I wonder how Adam Gilchrist feels every time England say they've adopted his batting approach and given it a funny name just to make themselves feel like pioneers of a style of cricket that has existed way before. They've just taken it to the extreme by adopting the Gilchrist approach on all eleven batters whereas when gilly did it, it was him rescuing games or taking games away from the opposition by bringing him to the crease at the required time in the match.

So much Bazball talk and delusions (Duckett) of others being inspired by Eng, when WI/Aus did the same and better decades ago. Bradman, Viv, Sehwag, Gayle, AB, KP all attacked but with better shots. Anderson mocking Jadeja sword celebration until Jaiswal carted him.. India with its youngest side smashed the near-first choice Eng XI (minus Brook, Leach) even without Kohli, Shami, Pant, KL, Iyer and Ashwin. 👏 Jaiswal looks a gem. Great game for Sarfaraz, Jurel, Siraj, Jadeja and Kuldeep too. Hope to see Kohli, Khan and Pant together in the future middle order with Jaiswal at the top and Jaddu/Ash/Sundar to follow.. Loved Jaffer's tweet on how Eng media/pundits will soon this too as a "moral win" like the Ashes and WC 😂

One of the most underrated aspects of the long format besides runs and wickets is tiring out your opponent. Batters try to get bowlers to bowl many spells, to cash in at the end. Bazball scored 315 runs in less than 75 overs. Indias attack was much fresher for second innings as a result coz their guys batted for over a day in both innings. and as a result England's batters were too physically and mentally cooked to offer any resistance, against refreshed. bowlers, including Ashwin; except to blame Umpires call for losing by over 400 runs!! Gonna take a second to point something out, I don't understand why India is not being given enough credit for the win. I mean, India has won one of the biggest games in Test history, and the way in which I see people on Twitter and KZitem saying that India is beating an out-of-form England team is just borderline outrageous. I mean, it would've been fine if England was genuinely playing this bad in every match, but the matter of fact is that they're getting more than enough chances and have always failed to capitalize on the opportunities. 1st match: England Wins thanks to a great batting performance by Ollie Pope and some great partnerships b/w him and Foakes and Hartley. India's batting let them down that day. I can most definitely argue about how India's batting let them down, but that doesn't take us away from the fact that England played good cricket. I could've possibly argued about how India is playing without Virat or with an out-of-form Rohit and Gill and that would be fine, but it isn't. 2nd Match: India beat England by 100+ runs as Bazball backfired on England. Baseless allegations about DRS system having issues is made(seriously, what a joke?!). The reality can't be swallowed by the English side and they start making excuses about stuff. Overall, this match is pretty evenly contested and could've gone in any direction. 3rd match: India win it's biggest win in test history. Excuses about the DRS system, and how THEIR OWN PLAYERS ARE OUT OF FORM ARE MADE. Literally, I've read tweets about how people are calling out India for playing against an OUT-OF-FORM team, where their best players like ROOT, BAIRSTOW, ANDERSON are out of form and past their prime. I'd like to ask these guys, "Where were you during VK's 2020-2022 phase, justifying his bad form??? NO RIGHT! You guys were out their lecturing the world about how he should be dropped from the national side". Funny to see how these same guys just a few months back were considered greats of the game. Root and Bairstow had decent Ashes series last year too. They had averages of around 65 and 40 last year too. When were they out of form? And people are saying that Anderson is old and their spin attack is inexperienced so there is no competition in terms of that. They're also saying that England loses because of their "style of play" and not because India is good. These comments make me see the delusional nature of people. When you win, it's all good. When you lose, the whole world is against you. *And the best part is that India hasn't even put out spin tracks yet. Waiting for the excuses to pour in once the ball starts spinning* Let's appericiate players like Jaiswal, Gill, Rohit, Siraj, Jaddu, Sarfaraz who put their soul into this win and not spread hate for no reason!

Talent-wise and skill-wise, Indians are the best. If they field their best playing 11, they can win 99 out of 100 games. However, due to mental breakdowns during high-pressure games like World Cup finals or semi-finals, they tend to lose. The key is to focus on developing mental strength and selecting players who can perform well in such crucial matches.Players like Iyer, Rahul, Jadeja, Shami, Gill, Kuldeep, and DK seem clueless in pressure matches, whereas Rohit, Virat, Bumrah, Pandya, and ex players like UV, GG, MSD appear completely different under pressure.

Out of 22 test matches that india has played in south africa, NZ & Eng ( including WTC finals) since 2018 , they have lost 15 tests ....ie 99 % win ratio right??? 😅😅😅. What a clown

I watched the match unit 3 AM PST Midnight in California, USA wherein India played really well like a Champion Team. Turning point of this match is when Root dropped Rohit when Inida was 33-3. 2nd Turning point is Wicket of Root when england was cruising along 2-224 in first inning. I expect this English side to come back strong in 4th Test. But I think India will win the series 3-1 or 4-1 after 5 Test Matches.

Watched England get hammered in the second test - the main thing the media focused on was that an Indian player had said that England had a 30% chance of winning the chase Apparently this proved how riled the Indians were and how great Stokes is as a captain at getting their heads Was some weird shit to see the media latch on to that one throw away comment from an opposition player, then build their narrative round it

For all the criticism dished out for England, I think we are missing few points. Ignore all the hubris and focus on the plays only. 1. teams coming to In dia and getting steamrolled in Tests is nothing new. How do guests fight is the key. This team is nit doing a bad job. 2. Test 1, they had a bad start batting in inning 1, then 190 odd lead to India in first Inning and Eng still overcome to won the 1st test. 3. Hartley would have been lost his career after the first inning massacre. But the way Stoke supported him and made him a match winner in 4th inning is phenomenon. 4. overcoming 190 odd lead in 1st inning to win match, loosing most sessions and still winning match by outscoring in just 2 sessions is phenomenon. 5. Test 2 and Test 3 loosing toss was key too, and still England has shown fight in many sessions. not sure what the scoreline would be if test 2 and 3 Eng would have won the toss. Summary: it is not as bad as it looks, hubris aside. Most test teams are excited to play tests against England also says a lot.

The reason this approach of Bazball is the best case for England is that addresses their limitations and gives them a chance to compete. 1. Their batters do not have a reliable defense even in home conditions let alone against spin in India. They just can't survive defending. 2. Their spinners are inexperienced. They are just not good enough. 3. Even with a good side, you expect to lose big in India. So, there is a good chance you'll get a thrashing like this one and it can make you hate the prospect of playing the next game. To counter these, their approach of going after bowlers without any hesitation and hoping Indian batters mess up like they did in the first couple of tests along with winning the toss is their best option. Making delusional statements like "feels like we won", "moral victory" and most recently taking credit for Jaiswal's batting is all a part of their mindset. You can't come out attacking the next game if you believe you were hammered. I still can't believe Baz and Stokes have got a group of adults to change their mindsets so drastically in such a short time.

Even after current aged players like Rohit Kohli Jadeja Ashwin...we have bunch of good quality man out there ..some are tested and some are new ...like Ruturaj gaikwad ..he will be 3 format opener for India after Rohit ..then sarfraz one of the best in domestic tests ...at no. 4 ..then Sai sudarshan another 3 format player ..then Washington sunder..a good off spin all rounder...then axar for Jadeja ...also Rinku in white ball games ...so just feel pretty assured for future of Indian cricket..

The simplest thing about playing rapidly while batting is that if you do not score more runs as well - you are giving the opposition more time to sort their innings and grind your own bowlers with less rest and recovery.

I think aggressive cricket played by many players like Virendra Sehwag, Adam Gilchrist, but not all players can play like that and you don't have to play that way. In this series in first match Oli pope is the example that you can play situation and also win matches. You don't have to play recklessly to win a match.

The Telegraph tomorrow: Why does it feel like England is 3-0 up, even though they're 1-2 down? Well, because they keep sweeping moral victories, innit? Not losing by an innings, getting the match to Day 4 and of course, inspiring a player from the country of Sehwag and Pant to play aggressive cricket. Bazball is a refreshing breath of fresh air to the test cricket, but boy do they have their heads up their asses.
