India's epic win against Australia in the T20 World Cup Semi Final

MS Dhoni-led India registered an emphatic 15-run win over Australia in the 2007 T20 World Cup semi-final to set up a final clash with Pakistan. In the semi-final match vs Australia, Yuvraj Singh unleashed an assault on the Australian bowlers, powering India to victory in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup.

Yuvraj played a destructive knock of 70 runs off just 30 balls laced with five fours and five sixes in the semi-final clash against Australia which was played in Durban. Yuvraj took the Aussie bowling attack to the cleaners en-route his sublime knock as India defeated the Adam Gilchrist-led side by 15 runs after posting a huge total of 188/5 on the board in 20 overs, batting first.

Matthew Hayden led the Australian chase along with Andrew Symonds, but the Indian bowlers kept breaking partnerships to keep the pressure on the Australians. In the end, some tight bowling from Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh stifled the Australians and India clinched their berth in the first ICC World T20 final.

@Sourav Saha lol that's what dhoni followers think. If that was the case then we should have won all icc trophies where dhoni captained and played. We won 2007 and 2011, because our team combination was absolutely spot on. Major contributors were Yuvi, Gambhir, Zaheer, Sreesanth. Hitman's inning against south africa in 2007 was crucial too.

Yuvis innings is one of the best in India's t20 cricket history. Coming from a lost cituation and going like a champion. We missed such a cricketer now a days. Yuvi✊️💪💪💪

Uthappa, Yuvi and Sreesanth were heros and Dhoni was the master brain behind the story. He used the week bowlers well and that gave us the victory. What a performance. Still remember that time when I was watching the game. Full on energy.No other wicket was celebrated as Hayden' s wicket.😄

No Michael Bevan is the most intimidating. Truly speaking Undian bowlers were very poor.You can see that hayden Gilchrist all these players had hard time playing against the Pakistan bowlers in 2003 world cup. Indian present bowlers like bumrah and shami will be nightmare to Australia!!

No doubt in Yuvi talent but he had been playing even before Dhoni started playing but Dhoni the reason to gave an opportunity to show Yuvi bowling talent. He can extract best out of any player... Raina, Chahal and kuldeep duo form while MSD keep the wicket, find the Rohit talent and promoted him to open the innings... these are the just drop of his Captaincy skill... when sachin out we used to switch off the TV then Dhoni came and make us to watch till the end and gave a confidence... any haters can easily blame him... but it's true... he is not there and no consistency in death overs in ODI...
