It is a tomb carved into the side of the mountain for a king and queen (if memory serves), though it is called the Treasury because the people who found it were convinced that there was gold hidden within it. Small observation and I scrolled down a ways in comment nd didn't see it so, in the very beginning he steals the cross of coronado from the tomb raider. The tomb raider with the help of the Sherriff gets it back. Notice the man outside the window with the cane, he was the man who financed the hunt for the Cross. Years later we see Indy on the boat in the storm, no he wasn't carrying it for 30 years, he had tracked down the crippled man and went to steal it back. And sadly was caught again by his henchmen. Indy's drive to return it to a museum is clearly a decades-old drive of passion. There's also a lot of great imagry and foreshadowing in this; "X never ever marks the spot" and the wall painting in the hotel room of the Leap From the Lion's Head.

22:13 "I think everybody has really bad aim in these movies." You do bring up a very good point actually. Most would assume it was plot armor but I will share this about the enemy german pilots which does apply to all pilots just before the Second World War. Aiming to drop bombs, which for most single engine planes, was only equipped with one or two bombs, meant you only had one or two tries to hit your target. And you also had to do it by aiming your nose down towards the ground, measure the distance, angle and calculate where the bomb would fall. Doing that against a moving target is and was quite difficult at the time. Plus, you had a time limit too. You had to measure and guage where your bomb with hit the ground and pull out of the dive in seconds otherwise you risk crashing for that successful bombing run. Even pulling out of a dive bomb generated massive G forces which could make inexperienced pilots pass out. Because you saw Top Gun. Notice how as modern aircraft were invented, they addressed it at the Top Gun introduction lecture when Viper is introduced. Our dependence on missiles overshadowed the need to learn dogfighting skills. The modern era of aircraft incorporated the use of missiles, computers and complex machines which made planes from the WWII era obsolete and they were phased out. Nowadays, the computer onboard can just drop the bomb and assist the pilot instead of doing the crazy dive bomb maneuvers. It's still done today, but now with computer guided assistance.

It’s a popular theory that the Grail did not grant eternal life through one drink. It is assumed that the Knight stayed immortal for seven centuries by repeatedly drinking from the Grail. That’s why he said: “that is the boundary and price of immortality.” The Grail could not leave the temple or it would collapse, and thus the only way to keep drinking and remain undying was to stay in the temple. Because Indy and his Dad had one drink each (more or less), it’s suspected that it did little more than improve their immune system a bit and add a a decade or so to their lifespans.

The fun on reactions is watching someone who never saw the amazing movie before and sharing the awesome experience too. So i am glad you also enjoy good movies and you are amazed too.

I have seen most of the movies in your videos but watching your videos is like going on a date with the girl next door. It's refreshing. Also, there is no such thing as too many questions. You love asking questions, I love answering them. Perhaps that's because I'm a retired secondary science teacher. Finally, you know more than you think you do When you answer your own questions you're usually correct. The same goes for your sister, Carly. Keep doing what you're doing. It's obvious that you enjoy it-and so do we.

R.I.P. River Phoenix..sadly taken far before his prime. He was destined to be a great actor. Stand By Me from Stephen King is a very good movie. But this is by far my favourite Indiana Jones movie. It has everything and it's not holding back on the humor. You can just tell how they are related as Father & Son. They are exactly the same. If it doesn't have either Bugs,Rats,Snakes or Nazi's..it's not a Indiana Jones movie. And yes one of those is actually not mentioned in the endcredits for not being hurt or killed.

Sean Connery, is a man of many ascent's. He's played a New Yorker, Russian, Englishman and many more everyone sounds of a Scotsman. no one ever says it sounds wrong, because he is Sean Connery and all the characters sound better as a Scotsman.

Fun fact that final scene where they were riding off in the sunset was filmed where I live in the Texas Panhandle. :)

Watching these reviews with you I do both of the things you mentioned. I feel like I'm watching a movie with a friend and I also get to rediscover movies I've absolutely loved and get to experience them anew with you. 7:10 I never noticed that painting before that's how he knows to walk across the bridge later in the movie.

As I said before: For more Sean Connery, watch "The Great Train Robbery" (known as the "First" in the UK to not confuse it with the famous post train heist from 1963) from 1978. A Victorian heist movie with Sean Connery in top form and a fantastic Jerry Goldsmith score, written and directed by Jurassic Park novelist Michael Crichton.

"I can't believe I've done the Indiana Jones trilogy!" Yes. Trilogy.😒 There is definitely no 4th movie - don't believe anyone who says otherwise.

I'm not sure if someone else mentioned this already, but next time you are in Disneyland riding the Disneyland Railroad, keep an eye out after the waterfalls between New Orleans Square and Toontown - there's a dog house with the name "Indiana" on it. The Imagineers love to but little easter eggs like that in the Parks, and this one is obviously a tribute to this movie 😁

These movies were patterned after the Serial ones we would have to go to the movies for the weekly Sequel. It was the same format, chases, guns, horses, whether it was “Dick Tracy”, “The Lone Ranger”, “Flash Gordon” there would always be a “Cliffhanger” and you would have to come back the next week to see how they got out of the situation. Same kind of music, same kind of dilemmas. This was back in the 50’s, they started in Radio and continued over to Movies. The were programmed for Saturday kids shows. Some of them were admission with three 7up bottle caps. You’d get like 7-8 Cartoons, a Laurel & Hardy Movie or a Abbott & Castillo movie, The Serial Movie and finish it off with The Little Rascals or several Three Stooges Movies. That would take up your whole Saturday. It was a great time to be a kid. That’s what made these “Indiana Jones” movies so popular, Nostalgia!….. SanJoséBob
