When Peyton Manning himself says that Anthony Richardson is football ready….he is football ready. So excited to see him in the blue and white.

Jahmyr Gibbs was a very strange pick, but I think the absolute worst pick has to be Anthony Richardson. I think he is almost a guaranteed bust. I have no idea how any team could even consider drafting him top 15 much less in the first round. There are certain fundamentals that you need to have in order to be a franchise quarterback. 1. You need to be able to deliver the ball accurately and on time. 2. You need to be able to diagnose defenses pre snap and post snap. 3. You need to have an excellent work ethic and be all in on football. If you watch his tape, you can clearly see he does NONE OF THOSE THINGS well enough to succeed at the NFL level. Coaching can only do so much. Most franchise QB’s work on these fundamentals on their own until they become second nature. The fact that his fundamentals are so bad shows he probably has a poor work ethic. There is NO WAY issues can be fixed in 2-3 years, his fundamentals are just SO BAD. Everyone is obsessed with his arm strength. How many times a game does a QB even get an opportunity to throw the ball more than 40 yards in the air? Arm strength means nothing if you can’t throw the ball accurately to check downs and 5-10 yard curl/slant/out routs on first, second down and third down. His running ability won’t matter much either. Defenses and defensive coordinators have changed due to the rise of so many running qb’s. The only way the qb run succeeds is if you have a slow defense that can’t take it away and force you to throw from the pocket. Plus he has a huge risk of injury. Hendon Hooker and Will Levis’s film is a million times better than Richardson. It literally makes absolutely no sense that he was drafted at number 4.

He had the best stats ever at the combine for a QB. Accuracy will come with the coaches and getting his feet corrected on throws. His overall talent will only get better. By year 3 he will be the best QB in the NFL. No doubt!!
