When the barometric air pressure changes dramatically the yellows become very spookish.
Then they will only follow lures not committing to a take.
Indicator nymphing usually works well in our water, they love to taste the indicator
and this is the reason I prefer the hopper dropper setup.
Today I did get a few small mouths on the indicator setup but I had to work hard
for a few fish.
But today they where spooked by the indicator and hopper.
Let’s try tight line nymphing, no indicator, just a perfect presentation to fool them.
This style of fly fishing is often the best solution to difficult fishing conditions.
The fish did not stop eating just the best presentation made all the difference.
