The Asian-inspired art style of this deck is very different from any deck I've seen. Beautiful! And your in-depth interpretation of the cards is always so interesting.

Thanks for sharing. The tower image evokes the camps where the Japanese American people were interned during the second war here in the US, so this is what she was exploring- that image of the tower guards and feeling restricted in that way and now it falling apart but still reminding us of this terrible time in history.

Quite beautiful artwork, but I agree, the creator definitely _whitewashed_ the people in this deck.

Few of them yes and it’s a bit disconnecting for me as some of the imagery are quite entrenched in the Japanese culture and I could see why they represent it, but a few does throw me off a bit :) but in general I love the illustrations and I appreciate the sense of fashion :)
