Thank you for the kind words and insight. I will have to give final cut pro a shot. That being said, I think Premiere Pro would have crashed a million times on me.
@LSPTaris

@@ouvio Yeah, my main issue with most Windows centered video editors is the messy user interface. Final Cut gives you all the basics you need laid out in a very simple manner & if you want to learn more in-depth tricks you can. Performance has never been an issue for me either, the only major flaw I would give it is the fact the render inside the editor can take up a lot of disk space but a simple tutorial will solve that.

Love the animations❤❤ even the place holder animations look great! Im guessing you use Toon Boom Harmony for them? How do you resize them for Unreal? Or pick a resolution per say. I've been trying to do the same in Godot(experimenting there first until I can get a machine that can handle unreal) but have trouble choosing a size so I usually scale them in the engine. Do you do the same or know what you need and have the character frame resolution already picked out?

@Chizyapo Chiponda ok, so I initially tried using adobe animate, since I've been using that one for all my animations, but animate hates textured lines and ends up lagging too much. It also doesn't use more than a few gigs of ram, so it really is just a terribly optimized software. Harmony also allowed me to draw brush strokes that look more like pencil lines. I make animations in relatively large scale in a 1920 x 1080 scale document. I rescale inside UE and have to make some adjustments to some frames when it comes to the jump, because if the character is outside the 1920x1080 frame size, it isn't rendered by Harmony. That means, some frames from the jump.I have to adjust in Photoshop to make sure I get the full character to show up. I didn't explain it the best, but I can always go into more detail on my discord server, if needed.

@ouvio
Жыл бұрын
I mean, the reason for the names right now is because the cat and dog in my game are literally my gf's dog and cat, which were named after Lannisters. Obviously, I'll have to change the names to a certain extend, because of copyright reasons and this game not intending to confuse people. Since it's very early days in development, I am not too concerned yet with having to choose a final name for the game and the characters.

@ouvio
9 ай бұрын
Honestly, laziness is not a fair description of what someone with ADHD has to deal with. This might be a helpful thought, it is part of a blog post by a guy who runs an ADHD centric counseling clinic: I constantly hear people with adhd refer to their incapacity to get work done as laziness. But that is not correct. The moral judgment contained in the word -badness, lack of care, etc.-is an explanation/accusation launched against those who simply have differing levels of metabolic capacity. It is analogous to saying to a person of short stature that the reason you can’t reach the reach the top shelf in the cupboard is a result of not trying hard enough, or that it’s not important enough to you. If you reaaaaaalllllly cared, you could reach it. But, of course, that’s foolishness. There is no moral failing in not being able to reach the top shelf: some are taller and some are shorter. So it is with lazy adhd : some have more bodily resources to get things done and some have less. "
@rockfish7777
9 ай бұрын
@@ouvio I totally agree. I guess I could have clarified it better when I meant I felt lazy. It sucks whenever that thought gets in my head bc I know that it’s not true. It’s just something that people have said to me that gets in my head and THAT sucks. Thanks for the reply dude. Means a lot. 👍
