When it comes to embracing indigenous technologies, natural farming practices become imperative as the excessive use of fertilizers disrupts soil fertility and water retention capabilities, ultimately impacting agricultural productivity. Additionally, prioritizing water conservation measures is essential for ensuring sustainable agricultural practices and mitigating the risks posed by water scarcity in the face of changing environmental conditions. However, there are ways to reduce the dependency on modern practices. Adopting artificial roosting sites for insectivorous birds, and birds of prey can serve as a natural and effective method for agricultural pest control. These birds play a vital role in keeping insect and rodent populations in check, reducing the need for chemical pesticides. Furthermore, fostering the natural production of Muga Silk, an indigenous practice, highlights the importance of preserving traditional methods that are both sustainable and economically beneficial.
