To reaffirm my pride in being African descent even though my ancestors were taken as slaves to The United States of America. I'm so proud of this amazing tribe of our beautiful black people who have retained their culture no matter what. This makes me proud to say that I am African. We are of many languages and tribes. No matter what we as Africans will always be strong and resilient no matter what. Zulu nation stand up my proud beautiful black people. We do have culture and we do have our own identity no matter what the outside world may think.

As an African American, I feel robbed and I am angry because, I don't know anything about my African heritage or traditions because our ancestors were stolen from our African relatives. This, however, is beautiful to watch and touches my heart.

According to legend Shaka was the first king of the Zulu nation to have army troops trained in physical fitness, strategic battle formations and discipline. Most African tribes were just farmers with spears. Meeting such a well drilled army on the battlefield must have been fearsome. So many years later today we are seeing those same characteristics that made Shaka Zulu unstoppable swallowing up kingdom after kingdom, tribe after tribe, to establish the biggest territorial nation of KZN. All on foot. Respect 💪

Small groups perform all over KwaZulu Natal. The advantage is that you can be closer to the dancers and appreciate the drumming and chanting more clearly. But it's always great to see the best of the best perform.
