NHS Rail Fest / Arts On Fire JUNE 17 2023
Scranton, PA - Celebrating the area’s industrial heritage with the return of Steamtown National Historic Site’s Railfest and Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum’s Arts on Fire on Saturday, June 17, 2023.
The Scranton Limited yard shuttle and the Caboose Hop experience, cab tours of the Union Pacific 4012 and Canadian Pacific 2317, tours of Mattes St. Tower, demonstrations within the locomotive shop, “Ring of Fire” demonstrations, and a Junior Ranger scavenger hunt activity.
Anthracite Heritage Museum’s Arts on Fire will take place at the Scranton Iron Furnaces Artist and sculpture professor Brian Glaze fired up his cupola furnace and melted iron for scratch blocks created by attendees artistic expressions in cast iron.
