I got my ear pierced today! (An industrial) And honestly it didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would. The second pierce through the ear hurt a little more, and it felt a little uncomfortable and would sting, but that’s about all. I thought my pain tolerance was low, although I’ve had four other piercings before, the pain of this piercing was about a 3 out of 10. It wasn’t bad at all. Not even a tear to my eye! I bought H2O Ocean purified ocean salt water with lysozyme, sterile, to spray on my ears 3-6 times a day to help with the healing process! I definitely don’t regret this decision.

its about 2 month I've got my piercing. it has NO PAIN. i watched a lot of videos and wow they scared me so much. i had 4 ear piercings and 2 of them hurt soo much and i was really afraid to get industrial. 1. sleep on travel pillows for first 2 weeks now i can sleep on it and i have no problem 2.apply ointment twice a day and if u feel ur skin is dry apply it more. i used Gentamicin ointment. 3.wash ur piercing holes with warm water and salt twice a day until 2 weeks. or as long as u think it needs. 4.its better not to move it but when u wash it with salt and water u can do it. 5.use antibiotic for 3 days. and DONE 💙

Matt is so right about not using rubbing alcohol and ONLY using a saline solution. I got lazy when I first got my piercing and stopped using the saline solution I made and started using alcohol. It immediately began to keloid. So I went back to the saline solution and the keloid went away almost immediately.

You can use alcohol once you've had the piercing for a few years and it's healed to the point where you can sleep on it, smack it, bend your ear, etc without any soreness or pain. But that's years later. Even my labret which is a year old, I use alcohol swabs to clean it. But as I said, you can only use alcohol for cleaning when you've had it for a long long time. If it's fresh, don't use it. But if it's old, you can use it. Just never peroxide.

An industrial can't be healed for 2 months. It may be possible in ideal circumstances but it all depends on what kind of a healer you are. Mine for example took 7 months to completely heal. And you should take in consideration all the things that could go wrong like getting keloids or minimal bleeding. That's why it takes longer.
@RainbowTimeTv

I love watching these, even one month after my industrial piercing experience. due to scoliosis, i am more comfortable sleeping on the left side, so I got my right ear pierced. if you have a preferred sleep position, i recommend getting a piercing on the opposite ear (first). I used antibacterial soap and sea salt soaks the first two weeks NEVER sleeping on the side with the piercing. Then I switched to just H2Ocean saline spray. no keloids so far. swelling and pain decreased tremendously. I have a bad habit of scratching my crusties off sometimes because the spray dries it out and makes it itch. For all of you asking, YES IT HURTS. The bar looks so beautiful though. If you don't trust yourself to take care of the piercing with the correct supplies, would not recommend. CARE FOR YOUR SEMI SELF-INFLICTED WOUNDS YOU GUYS!

Anyway, since I've had it so long, I can keep the bar out for 24 hours without it closing. I don't think it can close anymore. It actually took mine 2 years to be 100% healed. After 2 months, it's slightly healed. Trust me, industrials take YEARS to 100% heal, not a few weeks or months. I'm talking where you can change it easily, yank on it, smack it, etc. It's years.

Sanysa Amatali it's doing fine actually. getting the piercing hurt. maybe a 3/10. it was aching for a day, after that i didn't feel it. well, unless i accidentally hit or snagged it. cleaning it isn't that bad, obviously hurts a bit the first week but it's manageable. i haven't tried sleeping on the side with my industrial yet though, just feel like waiting a bit more, since it might delay the healing process by something constantly touching or moving it. i have a feeling it's gonna heal up pretty nicely, at least i hope so. =)

Got to this on recommended videos. My horizonal industrial took nearly 2 years to fully heal it was just so stubborn! I've just had a vertical one done about 3 months ago, going from rim to conch, and it's interesting what you said about the long bar connecting both piercings. My horizontal one I had the long bar in straight away and the vertical one had separate straight barbells in for 8 weeks because my piercer needed to order a longer bar in for me and I'd say having them separate has helped it heal a bit quicker and I'm not having anywhere near as many problems as my horizontal one. I have trouble finding jewellery for both of them as I'm odd sizes I seem to have long but small ears lol. They both 14g thickness but my horizontal is 30mm and my vertical 50mm.

The piercers who did mine recommended dial antibacterial liquid soap to clean it with 3 times a day and turn it every so often while cleaning and also move it up and down I’ve only had it for a couple weeks now and it’s in the itchy scab healing phase but other than that I think it’s been healing pretty good

This is my second one, the first was done that way, and this one now is done with the soaks. I can honestly say that the soaks are so much softer on the healing.

I’ve realized that some piercings it worked and others it just irritated them like my bellybutton ended up rejecting I also noticed it takes longer to heal and can get really irritated the more you mess with them I’ve stopped turning them and stuff unless I need too and they’ve healed a lot better and using the sterile after care products

Honestly, guys, pain is a 2/10 in my experience. This was my first non-lobe piercing but I have a high pain tolerance. Just as some background info, my first tattoo was on my ribs and I got it done while having a respiratory tract infection. Also got a thigh tattoo done that same day. Not the smartest idea but if you know you have a high pain tolerance GET THE PIERCING! (: I'm on my second day with it and I don't feel it in my ear. No pain unless bumped and even then it's very little. Looks like it'll be a super easy piercing, I've had no blood or pain after the initial poke. Granted, if you're a male then it'll probably be a bit more painful due to men averaging a lower pain tolerance to women, but it really isn't bad. Go for it!

Before i got mine done i was afraid i wouldn't be able to handle it but the actual piercing didn't bother and the pain that i guess comes with healing so far is barely noticeable, there isn't even any pain, just a bit sore its more annoying than painful, i wonder why everyone has so much pain with these

Iamnosainte you could get a floating industrial or a bent industrial. A floating industrial is on the middle cartilage between your helix was ( where the bar would lay on a regular industrial.) and a bent Industrial is a forward helix piercing(the top one) but the bottom piercing of the industrial is through the back of your ear rather than through the helix. You should google pictures to see if it would work for you. You might have to special order a bar or drive a while because not all piercing places do "weird" industrial bars.
